"We e mailed to make a reservation and the cafe called to confirm the time. Service was friendly and the ambiance very pleasant, with house plant on the table. We were given a water view seat, sun was setting and it was very nice. The...chili lime prawn as a starter was awesome, spicy and tangy sauce with really fresh succulent prawn. Each bite was a delight! I could just lick off every bit of the sauce! I had duck breast with orange sauce which was one of their chalk board daily specials. Again the sauce was very tasty, duck was crispy on the skin, juicy inside. Not a fan of lentil but it was fine with the sauce. Hubby has whole rack of lamb. He always wanted well done so well done it was and inspite of that it was so nicely done, not burnt, just crispy and surprisingly tender for well done. I stole some off his plate, although I would normally order it medium, it was yummy nevertheless! We were too full to order dessert! Will definitely visit next time we are in Salt Spring island."

"We came to uptown pizza for a quick bite on our way to town and I must say... it was delicious! The pizza was great, crust perfect and the atmosphere was awesome and the people were so friendly! I would definitely recommend and we will...be back whenever we come to Salt Spring again! Keep up the good work and continue to serve that delicious pizza!!"

"I went to lunch and shared the nudelbox and the season box with a friend. Although the menu concentrates largely on the free meat, etc., they are also extremely noticeable and understand for vegans (and some menu points are clearly marked as vegan.) eating was a little rich with not as much taste as I like, but above all it was decent and comfortable. we couldn't finish all our food between us, but it made great remains the next day with something more dinginging that were thrown in. I really recommend trying the chocolate blueberries truffles, they are so good."
