"Firstly I rarely leave reviews but this place warrants taking the time to do so.. We visited here during the ski season looking forward to a nice meal with 4 other friends. While our steaks were good the service and attitude of the staff was absolutely disgusting, especially the manager. We intended to stay for a few hours and asked if we could open a tab. He wouldn’t do that for us, maybe they’ve had people walking out without paying but whatever. We ordered and the food arrived in good time so we all began to eat. A couple of minutes later the same member of staff came over demanding payment for the food. I’ve no issue with paying before the meal or afterwards but don’t start waving a card machine and bill at us while we’ve got a mouthful of food! This really annoyed us all so decided we’d just finish and go elsewhere. Not even 5 minutes later the staff are then arguing with a different customer as he had politely asked if they could take a look at his bill as he’d had to send the steak back to be cooked a little longer and secondly because the majority of it was just too fatty. The staff were making more of a scene over it than the customer and definitely doing nothing to defuse the situation. Even going as far to say “you’re not in England now”. All he was asking for was half the price of the steak knocked off or a couple of drinks and they wouldn’t even do that when it was visibly clear he’d barely touched the steak. Absolutely awful attitude from the staff, never experienced service like it and I eat out regularly. That manager needs sacking or some serious re training."

"A really disappointing experience, Awful service, rude, incompetent,Steaks overcooked. A suggestion thar chateaubriand cannot be cooked rare-really!? The chateuabriand is more of a large overcooked rump wrapped in bacon, very odd. Plenty of other good restaurants in Sauze, where steaks are much better. Shame as promised so much, although I concur that not all steaks are cooked on grill in center of restaurant. Do yourselves a favour and don’t bother."

"This should’ve been our family holiday food high as we are massive pasta lovers, but it turned out to be a food low. There is no denying that the quality of pasta is good. It’s just the sauce and everything else to go with it that is average and the dining experience. It is a small restaurant that is laid out to maximise its capacity, so if you want space, this is not a place for you. It is also not a family with children under 10 friendly place. All dishes have to be ordered in double quantities, for two adults and four children we had to order six adult portions, that was such a lot of food as we had a 7 and 4 year old with us, who only eat small amounts, we did try our best but we still left some pasta which was a waste and no offer to box it up as a take home was given, considering the price we probably wasted £15 of food. The food was served not overly warm so by the end of it we were eating cold pasta. It wasn’t the kind of atmosphere where you felt comfortable enough to ask them to warm it up either, even though it is served in a pan. The price on the menu is for per person , remember that you have to order it twice so for a normal spaghetti Bolognese which was very plain testing it was about £30, the 4 cheese pasta had a very over powering taste, highly recommend the carbonara though. I was so excited to eat here, but I can say it was not worth the hype, just about everywhere else we’ve eaten, the pasta dishes have been just as good. I left feeling completely underwhelmed, but on the upside, my husband said it made him appreciate my cooking more. This place is probably better for couples or those who have a more exotic pallet. You must book in advance, I found email the best."
