"It’s super easy to find, and there’s a clear Happy Cow sign on the window. I had a fried mushroom dish which was super yummy. Unfortunately it came out way sooner than the other two dishes I ordered, making 1. me almost finished with them and 2. them cold by the time the other two dishes came out. The food is very, very fresh. The next dish that arrived were the walnut buns (dim sum section of menu), which were slightly sweet and pleasant. The next dish that came out were steamed dumplings/jiaozi, that arrived piping hot. They were good, but really filling, so you should be fairly hungry when eating this dish if you’re by yourself. The problem with this dish was with the sauce that came with it, which I can’t even call sauce; it was just melted and very greasy sesame seed butter without any flavor at all. The service was really warm and friendly here, so I’d definitely come back to try more dishes, and bring someone with me next time. They have an iPad menu that has some English, and ordering is pretty easy. Update: I’ve already been here two more times since my first trip, and I will keep coming back because it’s proven to be the best vegan food I’ve had in Shanghai, on top of being very reasonably priced. Dishes I highly recommend: chicken in chili sauce, mushroom buns, “fish” and vermicelli soup pot with pickled cabbage, wonton soup"

"Loads of choice. Beautiful interior. Veggie and vegan options. Lots of wheat meat to choose from. Spring rolls, tofu skin rolls, kung pow chicken, steamed buns, dumplings. Nice waiters. We went with two kids aged 2 and 4 and they were very accommodating kids plates, cups, chairs and they even gave them a toy each!"

"Maybe I was just unhappy with my decisions because there are no pictures in the menu and the descriptions were not really clear to me. the employees do not speak much English, but they can get an English menu when they ask. I choose the potatoes that were very oily and they use an oil with a taste I don't like. the other court were some tofu strips; very dry and I ate only a quarter of them. I left the place hungry. Maybe you need to go there in a group to have more options and bring someone who speaks Chinese."

"When they take the exit 7 in the subway of the jiaotong university, on the lines 10 11, and go directly in front of the road on the left side, this place is at the end of the building on the right track, the veg inn sign is right there to see next to the door. we were warmly welcomed and sitting in the upper floor, it is like a house turned into a restaurant, but there are surprisingly many seats that it was busy considering that this was late midday standards. my assistant spoke to the waiter, he showed us a menu on his phone to choose for us. we had lotus root in chili oil, it was a cold dish a little too sharp for my British palette. the fried rice was perfect, not greasy and very tasty, but for me the spicy kartoffels were the best, crunchy roasted slices of kartoffeln in an amazingly tasty season, I will only go back for this. the place has a nice quiet feeling, eating is delicious, I am happy to eat here again. beautiful to see this place is still open, since over a year has not been here. we arrived shortly after 8 o'clock so that only 3 simple dishes ordered. they need to scan the QR code on their table order via the online menu, there are pictures if they don't read Chinese. we had greens that were freshly tasty, like the spring rolls. what I thought was noodles, which turned out to be comminuted bean with paprika coriander, it was sharp, but not too much.
