"Felt very welcome. Enjoyed a handle coke zero. Wife had a stella. Nice venue. Dining room opens at 5.30pm. Very clean and tidy and well presented."

"Update on the wonderful Hot Waves Café. Open every day with an original inspired menu that is well worth trying. The café and beautiful grounds have undergone a transformation and update and remain one of our favourites on the Coromandel. Hidden away back behind Hot Water Beach is the perfect café that the locals would love to keep secret. There is now craft beer on tap and great local wine options. Really, what more can you want? Well worth dropping in for breakfast, lunch, or just to relax and have a quiet brew. It's well worth the effort, check out the art on displayed around the café, very highly recommended."

"Chicken Burger's in the top 2 Best Burgers I've ever had, hence the rating. From the massive, toasted Ciabatta Buns to the incredible flavour of all the ingredients together, especially the ample quantity of meat to have every bite be amazing... just perfectly made! 100% deliciousness, was unexpected from this busy little place. The Bacon Egg burger is as you'd expect, no surprises there. But even the vegetarian burger, which is rarely appealing to meat-eaters, was really tasteful. Seating's cool (outdoors, good view on a beautiful day) but could be increased?"

"Great food. We had the specials no idea what the fish was but the waiter’s description was spot on. Service was friendly and relaxed. We had to book ahead. Other restaurants would squeeze in more covers so nice to see they hadn’t. Good selection of reasonably priced wine."

"Mellissa our waitress was excellent helpful and friendly. She noticed we were little warm half way through meal and opened wide windows for us. This was first time we had eaten here and we were very impressed. Music was a little loud at times otherwise an excellent meal"
