"Just passing saw Barcelona and Athletico Madrid on TV, sat down had a couple of beers then got peckish as you do. Had the Tataki tuna, picture top right of page, very very good and had a couple of glasses of house red, slightly chilled which I like, when in Zahara etc. Big menu, food passing me looked good, get there early, at least before 9 pm as it was packed with locals afterwards. I will return when I have more appetite."

"We come to Zahara every year to buy olive oil and generally eat at Al Lago. This year was the first, but not last, visit to Meson Onati. We were there early so service was good and the waiter understood our miserable Spanish. We both had salads to start and then fish. Mine was a local trout served whole with tomatos on the side. My husband had sea bass and both were delicious. There is something so good about food that is cooked without a lot of frills. Prices are very reasonable with our bill coming to 30 Euros which included mineral water."

"Going to dinner and being offered cock and eggs as a main course... We have never been treated like this and look, we are regulars at bars...
