"We found the level of table service was just right, yet when considering the approximately time involved to prepare a pasta dish, the value or volume for money was just not there.The deserts was just delicious and the wine list was quite extensive for a little restaurant.It would be recommended that you book especially if there time is around 7-8pm on a weekend.Weekend street parking can be challenging so you should plan ahead spending time to find a park."

"Bocados is as "Spanish" as one can expect in Australia. The tapas and the wines were very good and the atmosphere, once the crowd had dissipated a bit, was excellent. The service was a little hit and miss at first, but improved with fewer customers as the evening went by. This is clearly a place that will stay on our short-list when in Newcastle."

"I rang to book after reading previous reviews even though it was Wednesday night. Although they were already full they managed to squeeze us in early and what a delight. My partner had veal pizzaiola which he loved. I had spaghetti Siciliane (seafood and hot peppers) which was also amazing. We followed up with pannacotta, creme caramel and gelato. The pannacotta was a bit firm but tasty, while everything else was amazing. This is all great, unpretentious Italian food served in a small busy restaurant with a family type atmosphere where most of the guests were greeted by name."
