"If you want to taste true Venetian Cicchetti in Padova, this is the place. Run by 2 young guys who really know the secret to noshing i.e. tasting small dishes that are addictive. The meatballs in the showcase are deep fried morsels of eggplant, mushrooms, cod fish and meat, You HAVE to get one of each to declare which one is best. If you need something more filling let them prepare a panini of freshly sliced prosciutto or mortadella. Of course then you must taste the biologico wine (in America we say organic. There are plenty to choose from and the guys will make a recommendation based upon your taste in wine. This is a must visit place if your walking around in the adjoining piazza."

"I’m a bit of a ‘foodie’ and travel Italy extensively. As a tourist I find it difficult to find eating places serving authentic traditional local fare so it was a joy to come across A Banda del Buso. So much so I ate there four nights in a row just to go through the small but changing menu. Ok, when you’re experimenting like that not everything is absolutely to your taste but prices were so inexpensive it was no big deal to order another dish if one didn’t suit. Not a big fan of Bollito Misto but such a well know dish it is a ‘must try’! Some of the vegetables used in the dishes I’d only ever read about including Radicchio Tardivo, so definitely worth a try of something new. The owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming, passionate and knowledgeable about the food and very extensive wine list, with most wines available by the glass. My faltering Italian was answered with good grace (I didn’t find out all the staff spoke English until the last night) so all in all it ended up the real gig, more an experience than just eating out."

"Our visit to Cafe Pedrocchi tonight was quite disappointing, despite its renowned reputation and historical significance as Padua’s oldest cafe. We were genuinely looking forward to experiencing it, but unfortunately, it fell short of our expectations. The service was mediocre at best. We ordered a decaf cappuccino with soy milk, hoping for some latte art, but it was rather ordinary. Not a deal-breaker, but certainly not impressive. Then there were the bottled juices, priced at a steep six euros each. We requested orange and carrot juice but were served two plain orange juices instead. They corrected the mistake, but it was a simple request that shouldn’t have been botched. We also observed another table having an issue with their order, and the staff’s response was dismissive. The lack of concern for the customer’s satisfaction was disappointing. The final straw was discovering a lipstick stain on the water cup provided to my mom. Unacceptable. When we pointed it out, the waiter’s response was nonchalant, lacking an apology. To add insult to injury, when I attempted to photograph the cup for our review, the waiter attempted to take it away. It was quite disrespectful. Overall, our experience at Cafe Pedrocchi left much to be desired. With so many other dining options available, we will likely not be returning anytime soon. Hopefully, they will address these issues and live up to their esteemed reputation in the future."

"If you are in Padova you need to have your food here, the owners pankaj and Sandeep are terrific guys and really take good care of you, a very interesting thing about this place is that the Italians working here greet you with Punjabi which takes you by surprise and then you enjoy it. it has a great music system and has huge place to go to if you have large groups."

"Come here whenever we’re in Padova. Reliable food, good selection of wines. Gets busy early evening. Dining room upstairs and decent sized bar area below for cicchetti . Some tables outside. Helpful staff."

"At the entrance, the sense aroused is that of calling to mind London gastro-pubs: that is, pubs in theory, but in practice real good quality restaurants. In the case in question, I visited this tavern together with my wife in November 2015. Small but delightful, very well-kept place. The kind and competent staff: the dishes of the day that were offered to us were of a high culinary class (fresh lobsters, truffles, etc. . Unfortunately for the owners, we tend to have a more informal menu and ordered: stuffed squid and a Chianina beef. While waiting we were offered a small but delicious appetizer accompanied by a small dish containing small hot sandwiches of various compositions. The quality of the dishes was excellent, but at the expense of their quality they were brought to us barely warm. The stuffed calamro was of excellent quality, the meat was of moderate quality (after all, this tavern is recommended only to those who decide to eat fish-based . We closed with a spoon dessert presented in a glass jar of amazing quality. It's just a pity that the dishes were barely warm. Prices quite high even if fully justified. In summary: an excellent place which however lacks the right attention to the moment in which the dishes to be served on the table are ready. Perhaps the owner, lingering at the tables of diners who have yet to order to explain the menu card in detail, ends up forgetting that there are orders ready to take to the customers who are waiting."
