"I took a friend with me for an after lunch coffee. The chocolate cake was exquisite. It is a nice place to eat a meal or to just order a hot drink and read a book. The service is nice and friendly. Highly recommendable."

"I assume that if you go from Madrid to San Lorenzo de El Escorial on your own, you'll get hungry after visiting the monastery. Area of Plaza San Lorenzo and Plaza de La Consitutcion is packed with bar and restaurants. We chose Los Mariscos as it seemed to attract many local residents. We ordered gambas al ajillo, croquetas and tortilla espanola. All tasty and the white wine (simply the cheapest on offer) was excellent so we could not resist a second glass. Quite good place for an informal, simple meal."
