"While the mansion the restaurant is housed in may be in pristine condition, the same can't be said for the extremely dated menu, service, and ambiance. The paint chipping from the ceiling reminds us that just because someone once was impressive doesn't mean we should hold it to the same regard. Fine dining may have been brought to Savannah with the introduction of this restaurant, but the only remnants of fine dining food are the ghosts of meals past. The first course was laughable. Three small bites presented haphazardly, with no regard for how they might connect with each other. The second course, 2 of us had the oysters and I had the grit cake. The presentation of the 2 oyster dishes looked like the chef had thrown whatever greens he had within reach onto the plate. Bland, unintentional, and uninspired. The grit cake had a nice texture, but lacked seasoning. For the third course, everyone at our table ordered the shrimp soup. The dishes arrived with three visibly overcooked shrimp each, which made us actually laugh out loud. The broth was quite pleasant, though the actual shrimp left much to be desired. Course four was an overdressed salad, with far too much basil. Some bites were more appealing than others, but overall a fail. For the 5th course, we had fish dishes. While all three of us had slightly different experiences, the common thread was a severe lack of seasoning. Next, we had the beef tenderloin. Again, three portions that looked similar but very different from one another. The Madeira sauce was very sweet and overpowered the steak, which lacked any real seasoning. I'll give them credit for getting the cook right, but again, a disappointment. Finally we arrived at dessert. To the pastry chef that put that out please take your talent elsewhere. The only dish we actually enjoyed, but still felt constrained by a head chef who is stuck in 1982. The wine pairings were the only saving grace of this meal. I'm genuinely mad we spent as much time and money here for the quality of food we received. To anyone considering visiting for the first time save your money and go literally anywhere else. And should you decide to ignore this advice, maybe take some salt packets in your pockets just in case."

"Beautiful, local feeling, Italian restaurant. The service was attentive and helpful. My wife had the lasagna. She carved about it. Much taste, lots of meat and cheese and it was filled. I had the seafood Pasta Special. Many large shrimps and scallops. The sauce was brilliant with a lot of taste. If we're in Savannah, we'll go back!"

"Had an amazing experience. There was a wait so we new it was going to be good. 15 minutes we were seated and promptly given water and bread and told the specials. Everyone that works there works a team. I really like that. The food was incredible. I ordered Veal parmesan which wasn't on the menu. I enjoyed every bite. Thank you for doing that. We highly recommend. Definitely will go back. Desserts and salad were yummy as well. Everything is fresh and authentic"
