"The taste of the food was between ok and good, nothing special. I had higher expectations after seeing reviews. I ordered a pasta dish with sausage. I guess pasta, sauce and sausage are homemade, but I was disappointed when the dish arrived with 3 small bites of sausage. I ordered a cocktail that arrived weak and mostly with ice in the shape of a juice glass. When the waitress noticed that I drank it in a few sips, I asked for another one, but without ice. What I got was an 8 ounce glass of milk with a dash of Kahlua in it. No way to impress. I just wanted a good drink."

"Yable for in the bar on a Sunday at bar tender for the entire restaurant and not enough servers. Our waiter was nice but not really attentive. Would bring dinner without taking away appetizers plates, would wait for utensils AFTER food was delivered. We ordered dessert but were told the kitchen closed at Completely understand but you need to give your customers a heads up about time. We spent good money here and were disappointed on the lack of good service. We made a stink about it and ended up getting dessert to split. Need more staff and better communication. Food is really good bit we all walked out frustrated with service"

"Oakleys has always been high on our list. The food did not disappoint, in fact , it was probably the best meal we’ve ever had there the duck, Brussels sprout salad, French onion soup. What did disappoint was the alcohol part of the meal. I ordered a vodka martini which was delicious but the tiniest pour I’ve ever been served. Couldn’t have been more than 2 oz total. And for the pleasure I was charged $14.50. A little outrageous. The wine pour wasn’t much better. Overall I like Oakleys but will skip the cocktail next time. I would have wanted to give them 5 out of 5 but they need to step up in the alcohol department."

"It was so hard to find south kitchen in the city, but finally, my friend got out and was very surprised! very nice place. service was good. they leave their own individual main dish and they share all the beside courts. mac and cheese. sweet potatoes were great! enjoy my time there very much!"

"Service and food both excellent. The seating area is quite small, but not overcrowded. The menu offers an interesting selection of sophisticated dishes. We didn't try beer because we were seduced by the very extensive and creative cocktail menu. Definitely a gem."

"The food and service was amazing! Leslie and Pat helped our table and were absolutely the best! I ordered the fried chicken and catfish combo with collard greens and fried corn. It was all delicious! My family all enjoyed their food as well. You must come here and enjoy this southern soul food!"

"Tried Lola's for the first time. Didn't know what to expect. Our foursome was pleasantly surprised. We all tried a Filipino dish and weren't disappointed. Food was flavorful and tasty. Taylor was our server and she was delightful. Did a great job of recommending items on the menu. Very friendly! Overall we agreed it was a very good experience and would return. Love it that it's right down the street."
