"Friends, another restaurant goes to the books. Last Saturday the Dash n Diners flashback mode went. Due to the scheduling conflicts we went back to our old standard and went for breakfast instead of dinner. We chose the River Village family Diner 22825 Huron River Dr., Rockwood, MI. Many of us visited here after the church and Ray goes here almost every Sunday with his son. I had many dinners and the Chicken Potpie is from this world. I was known to eat something. But this thing is even intimidating for a fluffy like me. And the crust is amazing. (Just be careful it comes from lava hot) If you feel ambitious, they also rent kayaks. You take the river you paddle back down and then you can eat in home cooked style. In an earlier article, I told you that the Dash n Diners will probably not make this trip. If we're stuck, they might have to call the Coast Guard. Not to mention that no one would be safe from Hijinks if we were on the river. I'm sorry, I lost my mind. Everyone was super impressed with the food we ordered. It was so good if I closed my eyes, I would think I had eaten one of my father's special Sunday breakfast. And the toast was not just your run of the mill Wonder Bread it was the big thick sliced bread. Everyone was super happy with the meals they ordered. Some guys ordered the corn beef hash and they said it was great. I never had a disappointing meal from this place. And the price for what you get is very reasonable. (Even enough food to make the bottles happy) Nassar, the owner was great. (Every time I was here, he runs to do everything, including bus stops) He was super friendly. We told him we'd come back and get our orders, but he took them instead, even though the restaurant was filled. He had organized everything super and was so remarkable for us. He told us Massar was the cook, and this guy didn't miss anything. Everything was cooked for perfection. (Includes my eggs for which the boys made me funny). They're like cavemen.
