"We visited the Floridian on a rainy night in February and had a great experience! The atmosphere and service were top-notch. They have a lovely outdoor area, and had it not been cold and rainy we would have loved to sit outside. I had a fantastic cocktail (the Pine-Mingo), and my husband and I split the Company's Coming plate. The pickled veggies and bread were great, but the fried green tomatoes were a bit on the bland side. We also had salads- I had the Citrus Beet Salad and my husband had the New Cobb with shrimp. Both were fantastic. If we're back in St. Augustine we'll definitely return!"

"Not with a big atmosphere. Not her fault, as they are short-served (like any other place) was a bit slow, but it did not disturb us as we were not in a hurry. Soft, 80's best hits play in the background. Waitress was pleasant, although obviously overworked. The food was delicious and beer was ice cold. If you are looking for a relaxed meal and are not in a hurry, I would definitely recommend it. If you're in a hurry, try something else. My wife and I are back."

"Wonderful mom and pop joint.A great way to beat the chain shops. Great flavors and a menu with variety really make this a must visit place.The fried plantains and corn cakes are the biggest hits!My only complaint is that everything is just a little saucy/wet. Normally, I can be okay with that but the sauces are also a bit sweet. This overwhelms the taste buds a little. A fish or shrimp taco should not really be dripping sweet sauce."

"I've been fed to Aunt Kate for years. This 5 review is long overdue. I had everything on the menu, but go back to the fried shrimps. They are large and are blessed with a slight scatter that leaves the taste of the shrimp, the thing you remember. This time we had a fried green tomatoes and Madison had the Ahi tuna. I've always been lucky to have an excellent waitress or waitress. This time was no exception. We had several rounds and ate outside, this is the best weather permit. Please take the time to read the story of this family's contribution to the area back 100 years, it will certainly enrich your experience."

"Our server, Marlene was very accommodating and efficient. The food was excellent. My pinto beans were exactly the right consistency, the Okra was delicate and perfectly cooked, and the baked sweet potato was well made and served with only the special butter as desired. All portions were what I expect, but not always, from a cracker barrel restaurant. They were not ashamed or stingy. This cracker barrel, number CB0289, was exceptional. We will certainly go there when we're in the area. By the way, they now serve beer, wine and mimosas, although we have not heard of it."
