"Dude, restore your faith in food here. I had a delicious falafel platter and listened to live music while I ate. So, so nice. The lighting makes the atmospheric so comfortable. I had a really, really friendly server. IMO the best spot for Mediterranean food in Charlottesville."

"This incredible place is a gem. Situated nicely outside the congested heart of downtown Charlottesville, the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, and the service was fantastic. Most importantly the food was AMAZING. Fresh ingredients, plated beautifully, with amazing flavors. The wine and beer selection was also expansive. We are from out of town and would love to go back!"

"A group of us stuck in Mickey Land for a convention were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Oskars in Waldorf sounded like what we wanted and off we went. While I'm not a fan of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual including a smoked salmon bar, ham bar, and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of families with kids so it was a bit noisy but that didn't really affect ... everything the group of 4 tried we loved. Only two things that were a little strange was that the cost of the buffet only included mimosas, not Bloody Marys and no eggs Benedict on the buffet. However, what impressed me most was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar it was empty even though two staff members I asked told me it would be replenished. When I mentioned it to our waiter he came back and said they were going out which was disappointing. The manager came over apologetically and said they even sent Hikton next door but they were out until Monday ... not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate of the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time ... THAT is service."

"We stopped here after we spent the afternoon in Monticello before we went home. The best description for Tip Top is a Greek-American dîner who has decidedly local vibes. The staff was super friendly and made sure we were satisfied with our meal. I have the lasagna that was delicious. My girl has the bean and ham soup and a side of fries. The Pommes are like steakfries and should be what all restaurants should strive for. If you are a local or just go through how we were, definitely stop."

"My wife threw me a surprise birthday party last night at Passiflora. We recently moved here from Kansas City and we 're used to the limitless restaurants and options there. But Passiflora (our second time here always shows us good food, and a good time! Last year I planned a birthday party for my wife here and dropped my card off after work so that the meal could be charged to my card. They even took a cake for me and stored it. Last night, Garrett and his colleagues took care of us and did a fabulous job and made us feel welcome and jumped into the good time jokes and all. We really appreciate him!! Many other restaurants in Charlottesville have told me before, within 5 min of arriving, you should order we have other parties coming in so it 'll take a long time, but not here. Everyone is always so welcoming and accommodating. Thank you guys!!"

"Has to be one of the best restaurants in the entire Charlottesville area. We had the privilege of working with Ali for our wedding rehearsal dinner of 35 people. Ali was professional, engaged and an absolute pleasure to work with the entire time! Our guests were blown away at the quality of the food and the diversity of the food offerings. Also, the baklava had to be the BEST baklava I've ever tasted. They also made us a custom gluten/dairy-free desert that our guests loved. I can't recommend this restaurant enough for a quick bite, or as full event caterer. They do NOT disappoint. Thank you Ali!!!!!"

"Overall, I have been to Cafe Caturra many times. When time goes on, my experience is getting worse. While it used to be a very nice culinary experience with the ambience, it has recently turned into an apparent lack of care for the patrons, only for my table. The Saturday and Sunday mimosa deal at brunch(with unlimited orange juice and a $5 bottle) was a treat to be delighted. I was at least 5 times. The first few times they gave us glass of champagne flutes or at least wine glasses. The second last time they had to give us plastic cups with a sincere apology that they were busy running out of cups. Recently, they were not busy, but the server simply threw the plastic cups without as much as an explanation. Next, for our table of three, it took us over an hour to get our food, with our server never looking as much as in our direction. I saw her take care of each of her tables, but every time she came to our table, we had to fly them down several times. I find this very annoying as she had to go right next to our table through the narrow walking area to get from one of her tables to the other side of the room so that she never stopped asking us how we were or fill our empty glasses and orange juice is a bit rude for me. Overall, I don't think I'm returning to Cafe Caturra to their service and Bland Food."
