"I loved the atmosphere at the Clarke Cooke House! We sat by the fire and enjoyed the people watching. The food came promptly and was well presented and tasty. The evening was tainted by the attitude of our server. She made us feel uncomfortable and treated us as though we were a nuisance. Such a shame. We will not be back as there are so many other wonderful restaurants in Newport."

"Very much enjoyed the evening here. The owners were engaging and attentive. The Chef came to our table to check on us. Our waiter was funny and paced our dinner perfectly. We were a table of 10. Our food was visually amazing and lots of flavor. Afterwards we listened to live music in their bar."

"Got lamb gyro and fries to go. It definitely seems to be more a sit-diwn restaurant, but they got my order pretty quick. Gyro was pretty good, though fries were a little underdone and soggy when I got to them. Overall, I'd try them again if I had the time to sit but not impressed on takeout. Edit: so I came back for dine in, food was a lot better fresh. Got lamb swarma, and server brought our table some complimentary lentil soup that was very good. Service was a little slow and I still wouldn't do takeout but upgrading my rating from 3 to 4"

"Our server was very sincere that the Thai southwest options, even with cheese removed, were not vegan. The harvest grain dish was apparently the only option, but it ran out of these ingredients. So they arranged a Mediterranean power bowl without cheese, although it was no longer on the menu (but a clip was there for a long time). My $10 bowl was much more food than my friend's $13 meat sandwich."
