"The restaurant is named after the owner's grandfather and connotes a regular bar scene, but this gem is so much more. Hutchinson bar and grill is a family's legacy to 1960-70s Indonesia and the food is as exotic and masterful as any top restaurant in LA. The decor, although quite dark, is extremely thoughtful and depicts Hutchinson's grandfather's Caltech graduate thesis on the topology of Southern California. The food is exquisite- try the green curry chicken and nasi ghorem ?sp). My husband and I really enjoyed this restaurant and we will certainly be back."

"In the city, only one night, I took a chance and went about five o'clock to lucques as they opened, in the hope, a quick dinner without reservation. the restaurant was closed with two gastrics for a private tasting dinner, but the personal invited me warmly to stay and found me at a quiet table. the price tag for the prixe fix meal was $150 and worth every penny. only over $200 including a drink and the tip, I absolutely enjoyed every mouthful, prepared by chef suzanne goins and the two gastronomic cooks. of wood fired pizza to grilled vegetables, sea fish, the meal was amazing. the melone panna cotta for dessert was the perfect end of a really excellent meal. the restaurant is beautiful, the personal professional and courteous. Simply note that the parking service is only cash, or they must return with a credit card in the inside and outside. next time in the city I would definitely return to lucques."

"Living in Southern California, I've had the opportunity to try MANY different Mediterranean restaurants, and falafel wraps were always my favorite. But once I tried chef Amin's made from scratch traditional Sudanese falafel, I knew that I could never go back. These are simply the best, and now I can never eat falafel from anywhere else again. On top of that, they're ORGANIC, VEGAN, GLUTEN FREE and MACROBIOTIC... I have bought the falafel mix from the Ihsan's Falafel cart, and am happy to report that it is very easy to make these delicious falafel at home for a quick, healthy dinner. The spicy peanut butter sauce that they offer is also amazing. Their wraps are stuffed with Amin's personal quinoa tabouli recipe, salad, sprouts and falafel making this hands down the best pita wrap I've ever had. I can confidently say that, unless you grew up in the Middle East as chef Amin has, you have not truly tried good falafel until you try Ihsan's."
