"Ordered upon arrival. Was with a large party who were sharing. I had to have a separate meal due to dietary needs. They all got served and I had to wait until they were almost finished before receiving my meal after enquiring where it was. I didn't get to finish it as we due to see a Show. I was there 1 and a 1/2 hours so I found the service completely unacceptable. Also the dish did not have all the ingredients I would normally expect it to have."

"In william street is sri devi a cure house in Indian Singaporean style, with a series of curries, vegetables, meat and fish, available in bain marie on the back of the es pane – and with the possibility of redis, dosai, murtabak. to order. it opens in the evening and for lunch from Friday to the weekend. it is unlicensed, but glasses and ice cups are for those who have a wein at their meal. last Friday we went along the dishes in the bain marie ranged from huh, pork and lamb through a few vegetables and fish curries - the small, whole, fried fish was an obvious choice for me, along with makrelen curry and a crispy caus. the fish was cooked crispy, the skin cracked and protected the juicy meat – the sauce that was sprinkled had all the aromes of singapur – and with a very cesty chilibiss – it was on the square. also the makrele was well baked, firm to bite, and again the spices were targeted – it really brought me back to little india and some of the great meals I had there. a pleasantly mildly spiced cauliflower plate added a little vegetarian edge and the boil rice, which came with court well al dente. I noticed that they serve at the shaking fishhead curry and that is enough to let me come back soon. cheaper, cheerful, faster and friendly service, well prepared eating with spicy direct – sri devi deserves a visit."

"One of my favourite places! I have come here several times and never once have I been disappointed. It doesn't matter whether I come for lunch, dinner or at 2am.. it is always wonderful. No matter how busy i see the place, we always get our meals quickly and they arrive hot, fresh and tasty. I often get the chicken noodle soup with the beef broth, and experiencing similar dishes in other places just simply arent the same standard! Even the freshly squeezed juices they do are to die for. The prices are reasonable aswell, for $12 I am left barely being able to finish my meal due to great portion sizes. All in all i would 110% recommend this place"
