"We had the Pan Fried Pork Buns. They were warm and crispy on the underside, whilst fluffy and soft the top half. Loved it so much! Haven't had food buns in such a long time. We also got the Beef Chinese Burger, which was pretty good as well. The perfect on the go snack to fill you up when you're in a hurry."

"ORDERED:   House made spiced cottage cheese: pickle, salmon roe, tart burnt honey $5.00 each)   Kingfish Umai: Fermented chilli, whipped cod roe, apple ponzu gel, rice cracker $25.00) Malay Lamb Shoulder: Kipfler potato, baby carrot, spiced raita $28.00) Satay Spiced Whole Chicken: Fermented garlic honey, tomato sambal $38.00) Small jasmine rice $4.00) Coconut Sago: Passionfruit syrup, lychee jelly, melon $13.00) I spent $65.50 here. REVIEW: The entrees were mid at Jamu, but it was good at managing my expectations so that I was blown away by the mains. The dessert was a great way to finish and wrap up the meal. Good strat! My favourite dish was the Satay spiced whole chicken. It had a delicious smoky charcoal taste that really permeated the skin. Herby, slightly sweet it was absolutely delicious. Chicken was juicy as well! Although, as with all chickens, when you get closer to the bone there was less flavour. Would've loved a little jus on the side to keep the flavour going, but otherwise the burnt lemon helped a little. Service was great. At the start, I appreciated how the waiter was mindful enough to move our table. Originally, our table of 2 was seated right next to a larger table of 10+. However, our waiter offered to move us behind the screen so that we could have a little more peace during our meal, and didn't have to fight with the neighbour table's noise they weren't bad). Also thankful that the waitress talked us down from getting a large jasmine rice $7.00). The small rice was perfect and enough for the mains we had. Big shout out to her proactiveness! Also grateful that they didn't charge a credit card surcharge. as well.   The reasons for the 1: 1. Want more salmon roe on the House made spiced cottage cheese. It adds a unique salty flavour with a great texture, otherwise it tasted just of... cheese. I didn't taste the burnt honey, didn't taste the tart. 2. Would appreciate if they carved the chicken for us. I enjoyed the process of getting intimate with my chicken once off for a casual dinner, but for a nicer dinner this is a big no. 3. The coconut sago was far better when the melon had melted towards the end. It was missing that little bit of liquid, because the sago is a little dry and plain otherwise."

"For $6, I got a donut stick crape for lunch. It was really delicious, I've never had one before, and I must admit I was very skeptical of sandwiching a deep fried donut stick in a savoury crepe with egg and asian herbs, pork floss and hoisin. But it worked. <br/ <br/ It's all about the hustle and flow. Get in and order and step to the side. The food theatre is pretty good seeing the staff work their magic on the crepe station. They sure know how to take a crepe. <br/ <br/ Seriously though, for $6, I had a satisfying lunch. I've paid a lot more for a lot less in return."

"This is a great place for a quick, no-fuss meal. They have nice breakfast options. I'm really starting to get into ordering what I want with an iPad. This definitely reduces the chance of miscommunication. <br/ <br/ I had their cheese on fried rice. It was hot and cheesy. Fortunately it was not too salty, which is always a huge risk with this dish. The milk tea was slightly weak but otherwise very drinkable. <br/ <br/ So D House cafe deserves an A overall!"

"Cheap and good. $21.80/lb for crabs. Tasty and succulent crabs. Have had lobster there too, and very reasonably priced. Be prepared to queue unless you go during off peak."

"I've tried every place on the street and in my opinion this is the best lunch around. Coffee is good, service is great though they do get busy at times. Their roast beef is so tender you can eat it with a spoon and they have a great vegetarian range for those who are not into meat. Negative reviews are probably written by the competition whose businesses are suffering."

"3.5 stars like the environment and service, the food was between nice and okay. Variety is not great. <br/ <br/ The cheong fun is not as good as tim Ho Wan. The vego version had sweet tofu in it which makes it taste weird.<br/ <br/ The turnip cake (pan fried) use real turnip but some turnip sticks are super hard and chewy. <br/ <br/ The nice list: <br/ the glutinous rice w chicken<br/ XLB<br/ Char Siu bao <br/ xo turnip pudding (not sure why it’s somehow better than the non xo version)<br/ stir fry garlic gai lan"
