"I loved this place absolutely! My sister and I took her daughter and her son in the law and her youngest son for the anniversary and birthday. Not only the food was excellent, but the Mariachi band was fabulous. Who would have thought they knew not only 50-60 songs, but country and even 70-90 rock. I'm sure I'll return in the next few weeks, but I'm gonna make sure the band is there."

"My family meets in Baldwin for lunch or dinner often, The Phoenix was closed so we thought we would try this Mexican restaurant. Sadly, the food was terrible, all of it. I had Carne Asada, the steak was all fat and had no seasoning, I could barely cut it. My dog enjoyed it as I wrapped it up to take home. Others in my party of 5 had quesadillas and chimichangas, also so bad no one finished their food. Prior to getting our food the cook came out and asked if we were going to eat the lettuce if she served it, then explained that at $5 dollars a head she didn’t want to waste it. The “salsa” tasted like watered down ketchup and the queso (if you can call it that) had no trace of cheese and no taste. Please don’t get me started on the restroom, which was cute, like my grandmas, with a bath towel to dry your hands. The waitress was great and we would have tipped her generously had our food been worth the $70 dollar bill. I don’t leave reviews often but felt obligated to so no one makes the mistake we did choosing DJ’s over A&W. The Corona was great, I’m actually surprised they had a lime for me!"

"Churros were exceptional and had dulce de lece sauce in the center. The shrimp was cook well, which I 've found a rare occurrence for most Mexican restaurants. Our surf /turf camaron y carne burrito and Pollo Asado Burrito (chicken burrito) were both delicious. maybe next time I 'll be brave enough to try a wet burrito"

"Simple little restaurant with authentic food of Mexico. Homemade tortillas, fresh onion and habanero side, and good prices. I had a carne asada burrito. I wanted it wet, but they don't make it like that only handheld. It was smaller than I wanted, but the price was good for the size it was. Next time I'll order two, with different meats. I then ordered two tacos one cabeza (cows head) and one al pastor (pork). Of course, I added the habanero condiment. My friend had the carne asada quesadilla, which was on a large, grilled and homemade flour tortilla. He said it was good and couldn't handle the habanero it hot sauce. Good food, fresh. I'll be back. "Los Cerritos have Karaoke nights on Saturdays starting around 6 pm. The only reason I gave an overall 4 stars is because, when I called earlier, I was told that Karaoke was from 6-10 pm, but the Karaoke guy was not very friendly and cut the fun around 9 pm. I had friends going for the first time and that was disappointing... On the positive note, the food and the atmosphere were really great! I haven't been there in a while before yesterday, but I used to go when my kids were younger. I've always loved Karaoke, since I was 17, and I had to find a place that was family friendly for them to join me. Los Cerritos have been that place. Wonderful family friendly and fun environment!
