"I would give Funky Taco 5 stars for food, but 2 stars for service. Every time I was there, I was hit with bad attitudes and felt like my presence was an annoying and inconvenience of the hostess. You might think I'd done something to provoke them, but I'm a friendly and polite person. I have not experienced this behaviour or attitude in other Boise institutions. That said I'm still going occasionally for her nachos. Updated by previous review on 2023-03-20"

"We decided to trust the chef (John) when he said he could have an off menu vegan burrito for us and boy we were glad we were delicious! Super welcoming atmosphere with great service. John and Julie (owners) were both on site and very friendly. Interior and exterior seats are available. We will definitely go back!"

"We took Mixed Fajita plate comes with beef,shirmp and chicken with rice and beans.and 2 large Tortia like pirata,Tortia was really big never seen in Texas like that!The Lady at the front was really nice and friendly.Drive through was super bz rather than inside the Restaurant."

"Super friendly, and quick, even when slammed. Great prices and incredible food. You cant get a better fish taco (Mahi Mahi) in actual Mexico, and hands down best in Idaho. Don't go the the restaurant and pay $12+ for mediocre... for less than $5, you can have a pair of blissful Mahi Mahi fish tacos made fresh, with slivers of avocado, pico, crunchy cabbage, crisp outer coated and tender flaky fish, with a finishing sauce that ties the melody together for a symphonic diversity of flavor you will be looking to come back for again and again. You wont go wrong giving this place a try and I am angry that for so long I have passed this place up without a second thought. So glad I am hooked now. Do something new, and even adventurous."

"Just got back home from the drive-through and I must say, The line moves lightning fast. and for the most part service is pretty friendly. although I would recommend this place as a late night snack send send my opinion the cooks are better. personal recommendations are the Idaho burrito and make sure to ask for multiple cups of their green sauce otherwise the meat and potatoes can be pretty bland without that extra touch. chicken chimichangas are also good and to me they?re even better if you wait till the next day to reheat them. overall if you have a late night hunger I do recommend this place but make sure to also pack some patience since all the other line moves pretty fast it can be pretty busy"
