"Interesting selections of Pure Vegetarian Gujarati, North Indian, Italian, Mexican to Indo Chinese cuisine from Shivam restaurant Majority of the items can be Veganised and made allium free on their menu. What we tried below are the default version which may contain dairy or alliums. All the dishes are egg free. There is also no mock meat used. Featured: Indo Chinese: Gobi Manchurian Dry Fried cauliflower florets tossed in soya based Manchurian sauce. Gujarati: Khaman Dhokla Soft Spong besan dhokla garnished with coriander leaves grated coconut. Mexican Italian: Italian Cheese Enchilada Mushroom, macaroni, capsicum, white sauce italian dressing. Half and Half Enchilada Paneer tikka, onion, capsicum mozzarella cheese. North Indian: Corn Shekh Kebab (North Indian) Kebabs made with sweet corn and simple spices. Palak Paneer Cottage Cheese cooked in delicately prepared Spinach gravy garnished with cream. Chana Masala Cooked with Chickpeas. Tadka Daal Cooked with Lentils. Indian Bread Plain Naan Butter Naan Garlic Naan Cheese Naan Kashmiri Naan Vegetables Biryani A delicious aromatic vegetable biryani served with raita. Desserts: Jalabi (Gujarati) Gulab Jamun (Indian) Drinks: Sweet Lassi Mango Lassi Masala tea with Cinnamon Stick My personal favourite would be their Naans. Chewy and crispy. Fragrant too. Generally all the dishes are flavourful enough yet not overly spiced. I love the Khaman Dhokla too, very interesting dish with a sweet savoury profile. The briyani is also surprisingly delicious! Shivam restaurant is a good choice for people who wants variety, but do not like mock meat as there is no mock fish or mutton options for your curry etc. All real food. "Priv at the Asian Civilisations Museum is a casual all-day dining concept offering both indoor and outdoor dining options. They are not a fully veg*n restaurant but do offer vegetarian and vegan options. What I tried: Asian Sensation Burger: I really enjoyed the unique match of flavours savoury and sweet with a bit of tang. The burger is chewy (like the meaty kind) and not crumbly' as compared to the previous Beyond Burgers I tried. Worth the try. Gado Gado Salad: Originally non-vegan, Priv veganised the Indonesian dish by substituting prawn crackers with potato chips and omit the boiled egg. My partner and I love this dish. The peanut sauce is very fragrant, extra enjoyable when the dish is mixed up and the lime juice added to the mix. Portion is enough for 3 people Thai Green Vegetable Curry: A large hearty bowl of spicy goodness. Creamy and flavourful, and my favourite dish from them so far. Portion is enough for 3 people. Not many non-veg eateries offer healthier alternatives to white rice, I'm glad they served brown rice. PB&J With Flourless Banana Oat-Pancakes: The pancake taste [censored] gao' (thick) with the texture of oatmeal. Banana is an excellent egg substitute in holding the pancake together. When I sink my spoon into the pancake, it cuts through like well made chocolate cake (we'll come to that soon that's how thick it is! The homemade peanut butter and the chocolate sauce are simply amazing with the pancake. Rich, sweet bitterness nutty, creamy savoury yum 85% Dark Chocolate Cake with Raspberry and Chia Seed Compote: It's gluten-free! Just like the pancakes. It's moist, rich and utterly delicious! Haven't had a cake that taste so rich in a while."
