"This place is a little difficult to find if you're not straying from the main road. It's located in the lot near the Gartenschau and shares a building with Pizza Milano. The food here is fresh and probably the closest you will get to authentic Mexican cuisine in this part of Europe. Compared to other Mexican places in the area (not all) the food seems to be seasoned to a fuller extend and the overall freshness of the vegetables is second to none."

"The menu here is food well known in the Phalz and seasonal although there are some exceptionswhen the chef is in the mood. Mother's day was a good example with a typical White Asparagusoffering but a chicken in "chocolate sauce" as well. I took the sauce to be a variation of a Mexican mole. Lots of pork, sausages and schnitzels on offer as well as the local favorite beers.The wine list is small but decent. The room itself is small and dominated by a large fireplace which makes for a wonderfully cozy meal in winter. There is also a nice terrace used for outdoor beer garden seating in the summer which has the advantage of being in a courtyard thereby cutting down on outside noise and foottraffic. The area is nicely decorated with flowering bushes and plants and in nice weather saves a walk up the stairs into the restaurant. Service is helpful and friendly."

"This is a very different tex mex and "mexican" than you´d normally have...The sauces are not good,and they have chimichurri WHICH IS FOR ARGENTINIAN (Uruguay etc)MEAT... The pulled pork tacos,burritos...great! The chili was not all tha much,but just go for the pulled pork!"

"The restaurant is only a few years in the making. Some prefer it over the Catina Mexicana which is about 5 minutes away from this restaurant. I've heard more bad things as well as experienced with this restaurant than the Cantina. The food is fairly priced, the service is ok. Upside to the service is they have these wooden pegs that you stand up right when you're ready to order or need service....down side to that is, good luck if they see the peg upright after 10 min or so. The food is ok but lacks in a little more spice. Not as authentic in flavor as it should be. The atmosphere is nice but I feel if they spent enough money and time into making better food and service as they do to dressing up the place....it would be a total hit....in my opinion. The drinks are lacking in flavor and I feel like they ration alcohol in their drinks since some of the margaritas taste just like a smoothie. I give it a three out of five because it's easy to get a seat here with out reservations about 95% of the time and it works out great for a last minute decision / last resort restaurant."
