"We came to this restaurant recommended by another friend, the menu is mostly seafood but they do have beef plates, we ordered the fish mariscada, shrimp wrapped in bacon, fish al mojo de ajo, tried all three and would not hesitate to order any of those plates ,the fish mariscada plates was specially good.The restaurant is nice and comfortable the only complaint is the sound level of the tv, asked our server to lower the volume and he did to a comfortable level, they seem to have live music in the evening.Overall would recommend and would go back to try other plates.Restaurant looked clean and organized, service was prompt, food was hot, salsas fresh, beer served in a frosty mug.Prices were very reasonable, plates were less than $9.00 usd. on average. portions were large, served with a very good rice and a salad."

"I have eaten several times in this restaurant over the years when I went over the border to piedras nagras on the eagle pass. the restaurant is conveniently located in the mercado in a corner. waiting staff is all friendly and eating comes fast and hot....Chips are hmoemade, and the salsa is very good. I had enchilada mexicanas with rice and beans, tortillas, cerveza, chips and salsa for pesos (ca. usd). it was a full of foods that I did not finish. I wanted to evaluate this very well, but after writing that is, for the good quality only it is excellent! I run over the bridge from west garrison in eagle pass (the city has a public plot right at the border control point). after crossing, they will notice a Catholic church opposite the place where the bridge unfolds. turn left at this church and go down the zaragoza road around two blocks. the mercado will be on the left side, many tourist shops, this restaurant, etc. I usually go once a year to Christmas shop for the children, while I hunted near in Texas and always felt safe."

"From the waiting on to be seated down to the stewed chic wings which was fried with gravy poured on top. If this is what they want to call southern cooking, then they need to hire me for the job. It was not worth the price nor the wait!!!!!!!"

"Palapa la preza has the best eating in san ignacio! jorge (the owner/host/bartender/amuse type! offers its guests only the best eating, service and atmosphere. palapa la preza is, shortly before the oase (and on the left side of the road as they. after the plaza, from highway l 347 from 20.12.2013, p. 1.) a great new restaurant! I was glad to discover this year! They have Mexican and American food. a little for everyone. the portions are exactly the correct size. the prices were great for the amount of food they get with their order! wonderfully located next to the oasis, it is a great place for a meal! jorge even has a few kajaks and a paddle boat for the use on the oasis the perfect way to train an appetit. do not take my word for it, try palapa la preza himself! I ate many times during my stay. definitiw the best restaurant in san ignacio. jorge also makes a killer margarita!"

"For many reasons this restaurant is a major boon to San Ignacio. With Tootsie's shutting down there are so few options for consistent food and service restaurants in this tiny town. While the smaller plaza located restaurants are ok for a quick meal, they just don't have the size to accommodate my tour groups or provide a good solid base of food options. La Huerta was designed to be a central food and gathering location for both tourism and locals like.Brand new building (this year), modern furnishings, absolutely immaculate, great servers and management, personal and unique dishes by BB in the kitchen!Only room for improvement that I can note is while their chef is a great artista she is still fine tuning some of the more complicated dishes. The traditional items are awesome, it's just the more complex dishes they're pitching for the tourist market. You'll love the food overall here - and everything else is golden!"
