"This is one of the most authentic places I still had. You have traditional feeling good foods that would make my mother or grandma if I grew up and now I do the same for my children. I loved it. I had horchata, sopes, tacos de asada and carnitas. The Maistortillas were homemade and delicious! I will definitely feel the 30 minutes drive or order for delivery if I don't feel like cooking. Hands away from here."

"Staff was cleaning and spraying areas all around the food while there was still over half an hour left until closing. When we asked why they were doing that, their only response was the spray was “food safe” and that they needed to leave as soon as possible. Again, there was still over half an hour to closing. They were missing several ingredients (guac, sour cream, pico de gallo) and when we asked for a discount for all the missing stuff, the “manager” hid behind “policy” that she can’t work around. Then why are you a manager? We also had to wait for both brown and white rice to be cooked and the steak was way over-salted. Finally, when we went to sit down, half the tables already have chairs up and the table that was free was messy enough that we asked for it to be cleaned. We didn’t need much throughout all of this a simple apology would have been enough to make the situation better. But the manager nor her employees couldn’t even muster up that."

"12/9/20 update: again, on my way home... I did stop on my way down in early November as well. Tamales are so good! Love them Naked (sauce on the side)... It was nice to see V again, she is the nicest she remembers me I feel like a local. 8/12/20 update: stopped in on my way North. Had the tamales, so good. Still clean and nice inside. Hostess V. Was wearing an official El Potro mask, I want one too upgraded to 5 stars for consistency over 4 visits. A good spot just off i-95. Had the lunch buffet, it was good. I'll stop again and try the traditional Mexican dishes. Friendly staff too."

"Absolutely delicious. Do not let the humble exterior or location fool you, this place has legit Latin American Food. We went specifically for Cheesy Birria Tacos, and they delivered an extraordinary take on this classic dish. Her homemade Salsa Verde was tasteful and perfect. We also tried the Elote's and I'll get it back. Finally, they garnished with fresh radishes and cucumbers that added a beautiful freshness to the amazing rich Birria sauce. I recommend this from the beaten path joy."
