"The chicken quesadillas were poor. I make much better ones (and I am a gringo). However, the grilled fish tacos were quite good! In fact, so good we went there for them a second night. The Taco Shop is located diagonally across the street from La Fonda Hotel so it provoked us to overlook the negatives as location was a strong positive. Heads up: the salsa is green. Only green. Nothing but green. There is no red salsa! What? Note to owner: buy a jar of red salsa from the local grocery store and offer it to patrons. Not everyone likes green salsa. I'm just saying ... The chips were excellent. We were able to pair them with a RED SALSA from our hotel's reception and had a wonderful treat. This little hole-in-the-wall is (I am assuming) family owned and run. Nice people. I would go there again as long as I brought my own salsa and sayed away from the marginal chicken quesadillas."

"Good evening and thank you for taking the time to read my review! Tonight we celebrated our anniversary and ordered: a lime margarita, Chips Salsa/Cheese Dip, Fiesta Tacos with one side of rice, Quesadilla mex, roasted ice cream and roasted churros. Our waiter, Mateo, was incredible and friendly. The Fiesta Tacos are brilliant as they serve 1 of any protein they offer. You have a total of 8 tacos. They are not the traditional street Taco size, but regular corn tortillas. My husband said they were a perfect taco wearer. The rice was okay. It was cold. The Quesadilla mex is good. I had a shredded chicken and a shredded beef. I prefer beef, but both are really good! The beans with him are amazing! I dipped the beans a few cheeses and made a dip for my queen! Amazing. The Margarita was eh. I don't drink, so I thought it was extremely salty haha, but not used to how to taste it. My greatest disappointment was our dessert. I'm big on Desserts. If you think of a churro, expect a bright, crispy golden churro. These were heavy and so dense and not crispy at all. The ice was fine. All presentation and size of everything was great. Slightly steep on prices on something, but no deal breaker. We will return to try different menu items? If you're still with me, thank you and I hope you'll give the crazy Mexican a try for yourself?"
