"A beautiful day, in the company of a good friend whose birthday it was and you can imagine how much I was looking forward to a celebratory lunch at this four star hotel set in lovely grounds. Well what a let down! No atmosphere and only a few guests at a conference for background ambience and you can see how flat it all was. The food was barely adequate...overcooked chicken , fish with little added interest except some salad which looked suspiciously out of a packet from a well known food market nearby. The waitress was most attentive, almost overly so and although I had mentioned that it was a celebratory lunch this was not acknowledged in any way. Just awful.."
