"Very well decorated, very clean and welcoming place. the tables are low with comfortable chairs. The music transports us directly and allows us to put ourselves in the mood. We took the tapas board in the entrance, we were not disappointed: very well presented dish with lots of flavors. In the dish, we had taken beef with a tomato and peanut sauce (I don’t remember the name sorry), it was wonderful, we made a turn in afric thanks to this dish. The staff is very welcoming and provides good advice. The service is fast. In dessert, we had a good fruit salad and milk rice with African flavours. Good pressure beers, especially tarry. We spent an excellent evening and look forward to going back to taste the rest of the card."

"This restaurant had only been open 2 weeks at the time of our visit and there were clearly one or two things that weren't quite ready but that really didn't matter. This is a restaurant and what matters most is the food. We weren't sure what to expect. There were things on the menu and on our plates that we had never heard of, let alone eaten before.I had a whole fish with cooked plantain and a kind of spicy vegetable chutney. My partner had chicken. Both were cooked to perfection. The flavours were very unusual to us but wow! It was delicious. The drinks too were strange at first but we really enjoyed them. We tried Bissap (Hibiscus) and tamarind juice. I finished off with a kind of milk pudding made with an African grain, again unusual but really good. The staff too were really friendly and helpful. The young lady that greeted us was keen to explain what they different things were and to suggest what we might try. We were heading home after 2 weeks in France and this was the best meal we'd had in all that time. I really hope these ladies make a success of this and will be visiting again on any future visits to Boulogne."
