"Only open in the morning, from 7am. At 7.45am, there was a choice of chocolate muffin, banana muffin, and trail mix scone. When they are gone, they're gone... So get there early to avoid disappointment, I had the last trail mix scone last banana muffin, which were both very yummy Great coffee too have struggled for vegan options in Chicago so finding this gem was delightful Note that all items have white labels, so you need to ask which are vegan. Helpful and friendly lady will advise"

"Cafe with two or so vegan options for both foods (usually two different sandwiches or the adjustment of these sandwiches as salads), coffee / espresso (with some vegetable milk alternatives) and smoothies / dishes that can be vegan. Cons: 1. Prices (on the expensive side for what it is) 2. could have more vegan options than just one of these two sandwiches and salads. 3. Personal is not very professional, I come here as they open almost every two days and they get 50% of orders confused (e.g. give you the non vegan milk, the non vegan sandwich instead of... Stuff so, so make sure you double check). 4. Tends to slow service. Upsides: You have a backyard in summer (although they happen to say that it is closed) and Hyde Park is a complete oasis for vegan food, so we will, also this is helpful. "I live in walking distance to this coffee shop and I am not much of a coffee drinker so that I go in the rule for the baked. The vegan donuts are pretty good, but they get them fresh from elsewhere and really run fast in the morning. I am rarely able to get donuts. but! they always have the vegan sense and it's really good so I'm never too disappointed. they have many vegan milk options, namely milk, which is amazing. but no vegan creamers like nut pods or so. I hope one day they will."

"The vegan recipe glazed and chocolate frosted vegan donuts are so soft teig, from my memory of nonvegan donuts indispensable. go on the morning as they tend to begin to 2-3 pm. they have milk milk latte etc. but the simple coffee (type a nutty breakfast mix) is so good I rarely got it!"

"Argo Tea is the best place at ORD for a coffee with breast milk and vegan pastries. The chocolate chip cookie is delicious and fills every non-vegan. The vegan muffins are also good. The staff is known from vegan products."

"I enjoy the food at Althea but it is a bit overpriced. The staff are also always rude, or I just seem to always get unlucky. So they end up making the experience not as pleasant. I guess I would recommend takeout to avoid that."

"Metropolis Coffee is my favorite US based roaster. I found this coffee out of state and have struggled to find anything better. Walking into the shop was a dream come true. The cafe did not disappoint. The decor and vibe of the cafe was exactly what I'd expect from a trendy coffee shop, but the small touches sets this place apart. Excellent music, unique art and the classic blue espresso machine all added to the feel of the space. The most memorable part of our visit was the exceptional staff. Dani was the stand out. She loved to talk coffee, you could feel her passion for the brand and coffee in general. She glowed when I told her it was my favorite coffee and I could tell she was proud to be a part of it. I'll be back and I'm telling everyone I know in the Midwest to make this place a must-see stop. Thank you for your coffee and for employing an inspired staff."
