"What a wonderful Tea Room and just what you need after a long walk! I had a truly scrumptious Cream Tea accompanied by excellent service and enjoyable chatter with fellow customers. Menu is good and a there is a rather marvellous selection of herbal and non-herbal teas. Can't wait to try them. Highly recommend."

"The definition of mediocrity. The service was perfect, the waitress friendly and amiable. However, the food was extremely disappointing. The starters were decent however they were nothing special. The mains were just thrown on the plate with no care. The venison was tough and bland with no real taste that would discern it as venison. When we complained, the chef came out and assured us that the meat was of high quality, which confirms that it was not the quality of produce but lack of skill as a chef that created a poor meal. With the meals there was a side of tasteless vegetables that really did not add to the meal. The steaks were okay, there was nothing notable about them. The same could be said about the Brasato di Carni Miste which was average, the same quality of food can be and is regularly prepared in my home. The pork belly was very tasty and we had no problems with. Finally, all the items that came with a sauce were drowned in it, this was a poor attempt at hiding the lack of flavor. I am extremely disappointed in this meal and would never recommend it to anyone"

"Well we were met by a gleeful harridan who happily informed me that despite being a bed and breakfast was not included. Some obscure clause written in the booking .com website about meal options not being applicable. (you work that out! . The room was at the top of a very steep staircase but characterful. The room itself was a good size with a view over the front of the pub and the river which was nice. All the furniture was old and worn. The carpets had seen better days. The problem was that the room was dirty with an accumulation of dust from some considerable amount of time on the table. The bathroom was tiny. It was in a poor state of repair and it was filthy. The taps were broken, as was the toilet set. Tiles were stained and mouldy and the toilet unsanitary. The tea and coffee making facility which we were relying on since they refused us breakfast did not have any milk so that was the end of that! The final joy was at about 3am when a group of local youths encamped out at the front of the pub and started partying for a while. Other than that, the stay was perfect (great car park for instance!"

"Many art hang up, beautiful selection of vegan cakes and tarts and some quirky drinks. if we had been in the opposite, I would have tried the beetroot latte. her Turkish latte with milk was amazing although she left me with a yellow ring around my mouth."

"Frequent users of the coffee shop, there is a dark haired dame that usually served me and she served me at 07:05 today. this lady is always friendly and her greeting with a pleasant smile and spoken as her only customer."
