"This place is the business. The pies are brilliant, the range spectacular and the cakes etc are mouth watereringly good. If you have never been there, then top of the list should be the steak bacon and cheese. Just so, so good. It's a large bright space with heaps of seats inside, an alfresco area outside and they even do pretty good coffee. <br>

Oh, and they are open 24 hours. What more can you ask for? Thankfully didn't discover how good it was while living in norwood otherwise I would have found any excuse to call by. Can also get their stuff from the bakers tray in the central markets.

"A beautiful, thriving bakery that serve a supurb Cuppacino. Attention to detail is amazing, right down to a glass of water with a touch of raspberry. "Best coffee and food in Linden and professional cheerful staff. If you want to start the day with the right foot this is the place! The barista Cornelius knows how to make a proper coffee (and said it by an Italian, it is a guarantee) and Sam doesn't play around, he can find quickly a solution for all your needs. Well recommend for all the film crews who work in the district and for those who came oversease like us...The Whippet knows how to make you feel part of the community!"

"We love the Charminar Brighton but this one at Norwood could not be more different. We came for lunch on a Thursday about 1.30pm. The restaurant was deserted except for a couple eating in the corner- there was no-one at reception or any waiter to be seen. Then a person appeared who was seemingly the manger? Proprietor? He wasn't dressed as a waiter, said nothing to us and when we asked for a table for two he silently gestured towards a table, slapped down two lunch menus and walked off. I had to go the counter and get the other menu myself- unlike at the Brighton one where both menus are offered and explained. There was no specials board, and the food was very lacklustre- the dips platter, always a favourite at Brighton, was a badly improvised offering of the regular raita, a tomato sort of ketchup and some sort of mango jam that was straight out of a bottle. The dahl was lukewarm and slopped over the plate and the butta kebabs were oily and undercooked. The person acting as the waiter spent most of his time out of sight and when we were leaving there was again no-one to be found until I could see into the kitchen and caught the eye of someone, and eventually we were able to pay and leave. There was no music playing, no ambience and the vibe given off by the person we had contact with was that he didn't want to be there...so neither did we...go to Brighton Charminar instead!"

"My brother and I possibly had the worst takeaway from here this past Saturday. We ordered a burger each, a drink, a nugget basket, fries, plus an extra six nuggets. Firstly, my brother ordered bacon to go in his Nordburger. What he received was not that, but rather half a strip of bacon fat, with very little meat on it. The fries we got were soggy, cold and unsalted, which rendered them flavorless and impossible to enjoy. My chicken burger tasted... well, odd! There was onion upon onion upon onion in it, and a smaller than average overly fried bit of chicken hidden in there amongst all that onion. The one redeeming quality were the nuggets, though they were not without fault. They tasted great, but in the extra pack of six nuggets, we only received 5. The other was instead a tater tot. We paid for 6, yet were given 5. Free tater tot or not, this was deceptive. An accident by the kitchen staff I'm sure, but still we couldn't help but feel a bit ripped off. Overall...

"My friend and I were craving something sweet so we decide to visit Chateau gateaux. <br/ <br/ They have a wonderful array of cakes and the overall ambience is very calm. We ordered a chocolate croissant and a pear and almond tart: I enjoyed it. <br/ <br/ They also have cakes in the freezer which you buy and take home to serve later. I know where my next Birthday cake is coming from ;"
