"Now, I have been living in san miguel de allende for 10 years, and until some time ago I liked breakfast here, eating was excellent, service fair, and all milk products had a very good taste. now, after I had not been there for some time, and thanks to my good experience from pastness, I invited my parents and my family to this place, still think that it was as good as I was used to . . . . . surprise: in the SAME opportunity that she liked with 5 or more gues dre, her real ask 13% extra to her bill! "I'll have to admit that I've been there a few times in the last 2 weeks. With all of the great restaurants here in San Miguel that says alot for how great the food and service are. Karin's soups are fantastic, especially the Cauliflower and Curry and Cream of Broccoli. What's really nice (and unique for Mexico) is that Karin makes sure that her food is healthy as well as delicious - with the cream soups really having a little milk but no actual cream (you would never know!). The salad selections are excellent - I have had the Spinach salad and Chicken Salad, served fresh and with homemade dressings. My friends have had the sandwiches on fresh baked baguettes and they have said they were excellent.I did note the review that mentioned the Tres Leches cake with the chocolate topping - my idea of the best dessert ever. During Aug-Sep Karin's serves Chiles en Nogada. I had them last year when I was here and they were great - local friends of mine (who know their Mexican food) just had them last week and raved.Don't miss Karin's Cafe - it's on a beautiful little side street right behind the Parroquia Church. The staff is helpful (especially Juan) and they will cater to your specific requests. Enjoy!!"

"Not much to compare, I have the local expats rave over the burgers there. they were very good, but I didn't like everything being a la cart. that meant that the burgers were nothing more than the burgers. french frenches are a separate next order etc. it is a nice place to sit dow for a beautiful burger after visiting the fabrica."

"A very small place with music always too loud and slow service, I still LOVE the egg dishes and home-baked bread and sauerkraut. If you have time to spare, there are only a couple of you, and you’re partially deaf, this is a great place...for you to visit."

"I was told by two people I trusted that it was a great place but it was obvious from the moment we walked in that it was way too hot .I was sweating within ten minutes. The meal started with processed ham, goat cheese and canned mushrooms and the main coarse must have been gathered leftovers from the week before because it was so bad that no one ate anything. The owner didn't ask why no one ate anything or seem to care. All four people in my party agreed it was the worst place they have ever eaten. I would never go back there again even if it was free. I felt cheated because it was clear that the mom and pop operation was too lazy to cook that night."
