"Had lunch here with parents and was very disappointed. It has really gone down hill. The whole place looks rundown and shabby and dirty. A refurbishment would give it a new lease of life. The ladies toilets were grotty, dirty grouting around sink and dirt on floor and unpleasant smell. The welcome was non existent by the manager or barman behind the bar. Could barely be bothered to speak. I said we had come here for my father in laws 91st birthday and he just didn’t respond. The table was old and worn and sticky and chairs very old and worn out. Could do with updating the furniture. There were cobwebs and dust on the dried out faded hops on the ceiling. The menu was a bit uninspiring but ok. My mum was disappointed by the garlic chicken Kiev. no garlic butter inside just in a jug and the green beans were very hard and inedible. I had the turkey which was ok but a mean portion of vegetable for two people so had to ask for another portion. The meat in the steak and kidney pie was also chewy and tough. My parents had a dessert. The crumble was lovely and hot and came with custard but the crème brûlée cheesecake was a mean portion considering it was £7. I think the desserts were over priced. We gave the waitress a tip as she was very good and cheerful and friendly but when we left we walked right past the manager and he didn’t even say thank you or goodbye. Such a shame as nice location and nice building. We will not be returning."

"As a family we went to see Santa, let me say Santa was fantastic the pub however… shocking do not recommend, they told my children to be quiet after their excitement of seeing Santa. They were SO RUDE! I’d never go back or even waste my money ever again! Such a shame,"

"Beautiful coffee shop. cordial staff and very accommodated. it was Sunday that we arrived at 2.30 a.m., which is the closing time. lucy, the owner said she can't make us a warm meal, but can make us coffee and cake. that was very good of her when she wanted to approach. we had wonderful cakes and tee. lucy gave us a few tips where we go to foot and have our evening meal. the coffee shop decoration is simply wonderful and makes them feel so relaxed. many thanks to lucy and their personal for their stay on us and for their hospitality"

"This costa is amazing. I came in a hurry and had to order and coffee and go. the service was amazing and I felt very accommodated. there were 2 young girls in the load who were all very attentive. a barista above all was very...sweet for me and got my coffee in the speed I needed also served me a nice smile. I went away and felt very satisfied and started for the day. would definitely recommend."

"Loved the produce and cafe, some really good food here, and most is local produce. Today steak we bought was amazing, and I loved the lemon pepper chicken.. we also got horseradish in a quirky bottle ..I recommend you go there.."

"Highly recommend this wonderful cafe! it has a cosy atmosphere and lovely staff who couldn’t help enough. They made me feel very welcome when I came with children and you know how hard that can be! A lovey range of delicious hot/cold food, yummy cakes, they even have vegan options and the barista coffee is delicious! I will definitely be visiting again."

"Called in for a coffee whilst motorbike had it’s tyres changed. The coffee and hit sandwich was up to the normal excellent Costa standard. What made this visit to a Costa so different to other visits were the staff. Seldom have I come across such a happy and pleasent staff. All good humour and very helpful. 5 stars for service and good atmosphere. Thank you, you have made my day."
