"I took my mother to this pub recently and we both agreed it was great. When I asked about accessibility the person on the phone was very helpful and offered to reserve a convenient parking space. The pub itself is very nice inside, well presented and has a good ambience. The service was first class, friendly and attentive without ever being intrusive. The menu featured several tempting offerings; we both settled for sea bass, which was perfectly cooked. If I want to be picky the broccoli cauli were a bit on the soft side for me, but that's personal preference and it didn't spoil my enjoyment. And then the big test....the syrup sponge with custard. Would there be a proper amount of custard or just a tiny little poxy pot on the side? I'm happy to report that this was a slam dunk, and I found myself eagerly facing a sponge island in the middle of a sea of custard....outstanding!"

"Booked dinner for 6.15 with our 3 children as a birthday treat and stay at the hotel. Was shown to table and was given 5 or 6 different full menus in total for adult and child version of: a la carte, set menu (normal , set menu (halloween plus cocktail menus. Ordered within 10ish minutes, drinks didn 't show up for another 10 although it wasn 't busy at that time. Food order arrived partly wrong after another 30 minutes (waitress mishead/ordered steak instead of fish and chips for our son and kids were bored and hungry so we just said it was fine because goodness knows how long the correct fish and chips would take. Food itself was OK, but probably harvester quality and not worth the premium especiallyconsideringthe wait. Waited another 25 minutes after finishing our mains for our table to be cleared and we could then ask to order our pudding (the kids menus only had a 2 course option, otherwise we would have just had the 1 course as they were so tired by this point . Waiting staff were constantly rushing around, but other diners were all waiting a very long time for any food/drinks. We paid before the puddings arrived to try to speed up the process (ha! But only 3 of the 4 ice creams were delivered and our sons vegan ice cream was delayed for another 5 minutes and he started crying as he is the youngest and didn 't think he was getting any. The waiting staff member (sam apologised as he said the vegan ice cream wasn 't on our bill (it was, and we had paid for it . Also very strange interaction from him during our visit as he visited our table twice to check our sons names, I assumed because a birthday song/treat was due as my original booking stated it was for my sons birthdays but nothing appeared. (Why would he visit our table on 2 occasions to just ask for their names? Weird! Also, another male member of staff spilled a tiny bit of coke over my sons sleeve (not an issue in itself, but then the waiting staff swore by accident! . We raised the issue with the very long waits, wrong food and misinformation about the ice cream to the staff, however nothing was done about it. By this point we had been at the restaurant nearly 2 hours for 2 courses, although the second course was 2 scoops of ice cream served within the last 10 minutes, over 1.5 hours after we arrived. For a restaurant in a very child centric place, there was no colouring/activities etc to entertain them, especially as the wait times were so long. The waiting staff did not seem organised, and we had to go to up them several times at the bar to ask for things, as they did not 'scan ' the tables to check if anyone was trying to catch their attention. £108 was the final damage to our tournament treasure chest. We would definitely stay at the castle Hotel again, but this tavern is sadly the weak link in this legoland armour!"

"For the avoidance of doubt, this is the Caffè Nero in Windsor Royal Station (some of the pics posted are of the other Nero is Windsor) I visited this store on Friday morning. It was empty and there was a female member o staff behind the counter. She was busy ... looking at her phone ... it appeared a customer coming in was an inconvenience. She asked what I wanted but there was no warmth and no please or thank you. She also failed in the basic requirement of any coffee shop worker try for an upsell. Before I’d even left the counter with my drink she was straight back in her phone Note also no hand washing between playing with her phone and serving the customer I’d actually visited the Maidenhead branch earlier that day and generally get excellent service there I’ve mailed the feedback to Nero’s (the compliment and the complaint) and as yet, they’ve not responded Given so many hospitality workers have lost their jobs recently, perhaps the person I encountered at Windsor should give her job to someone who would make an effort ... she’d then have plenty of time to play with her phone"

"This is one of three cafes restaurants in Daniels Department store. It is on the first floor and serves all the usual beverages and has a small variety of cakes. It is is nice quiet place to meet friends or just enjoy your coffee...without pressure. The staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable."
