"I went for lunch today and was surprised how little people were here! This is such a cute little cafe with plenty of seating, and who doesn’t love a good bagel, especially when they have such a variety! I do think they could improve a little on the service. It was obvious the staff were very lovely people, but small changes like: bringing high chairs to tables for mums rather than expecting them to get it themselves, bringing water and glasses to the tables and providing extra menus would 100% make it feel more welcoming. But overall I would definitely recommend this place. Easy parking, and it’s very close to a kids park if you want to go afterward (which I did). Oh, and the pricing is very reasonable as well."

"After a good amount of success for a couple of years up north, Hello Harry has come down to Brisbane where any new burger place is definitely going to be met with open arms. And to give it a good run, the newly Developed Portside Wharf is its location and already some attention is being given to it. While the idea that is stated is the current trend of 'cooking for people ' and the want for fast, causal fare, what I see it being is something indicative of what has always been here for most no non sense fare, the simple stuff that fits the bill for the most part. <br/ <br/ Planning with a couple of aspects in mind, going to order from UberEat this time around was somewhat with impulse but also thinking ahead in order to have the normal Wednesday schedule in mind which included getting some sustenance to prepare for weight training. As per usual, it was a toss up between them all and ... well, this is the place that I got it from Hello Harry. Being at work, scrolling through the app, it was as simple as a few touches on the button before piece of mind set in for the next hour or so before the notifications came in. From there, it was as simple as going out to the curb and waiting. <br/ <br/ Much like the UberEats that I have done beforehand, all of it is much the same with the service. They get the order that you plug in right away, and all that has to be done is to sit and wait. While it is going to vary how soon they get there, with traffic and all, the feature on the app is enough to give piece of mind so wondering where they are is no problem. During the pick up part, the whole ordeal is quick and efficient, therefore it is not too long before another good meal is being eaten. <br/ <br/ Upon a previous visit to the Portside Wharf, what I noted was quite a few different options to eat at as did my dining buddy. One of these was Hello Harry, a burger place which is usually to be a surefire winner. That was a while back, and I don 't believe I have returned specifically to here; plus, when the next opportunity is going to arise was something I did not know so it was more or less just being opportunistic. With a look inside and on some blogs, I will give credit as well for giving that rustic, urban aesthetic which indicates a good place to meet up.<br/ <br/ One thing that has to be given kudos here is that they are making sure that the menu is kept short. That way, the focus can really be streamlined on what they want to sell and that is burgers. It is not a big list either, and still has almost each meat that you could ask for. The ingredients advertised on each burger can still be done on one hand, so it is not overkill, and are relatively a steal. Like with anytime going for a burger, who doesn 't want something on the side with it there 's several options here as well, a couple of different fries and salads as such. As per the menu, what they have to drink are a couple of milkshake flavours, plus some beers, ciders, wines and spirits. Presumably, sodas and juices can be gotten in store, and that is about the long and short of what they have. <br/ <br/ So to give it a decent run, it was the classic combination burger, fries, and shake. But the fries this time was replaced by onion rings. Out of the burgers that were there, I got the Texas brisket. This was pulled beef in a sticky marinade, and it had a green apple coleslaw on top. All in a soft bun. On the side, an order of onion rings plus I tossed up with a beverage, but decided to anyway. It is hard to resist a milkshake at times, and since these were housemade recipes instead of the usual route, I thought may as well. <br/ <br/ For what it was worth, this all did the trick. Getting the onion rings out of the way first, they were good as always. Fresh and hot from the fryer, the batter was a slightly thick consistency and crisp, plus the onion was cooked until the right consistency. It was still solid, but it was definitely getting the carmalised flavour seeping in. Also for one I noted that the rings were not uni formally sized either, which is something a bit different from the usual business. That, and they were well salted. The only real complaint with them is that there was not enough of them. They are that tasty. <br/ <br/ The main event, the burger, was ... a burger. I really cannot find too much that is outright wrong with it, and there is a number of things that were done right with it as well. Having the whole composition be some long cooked pulled meat, mixed with a thick sauce and coleslaw really does not need any additions to it as that already does the trick right there. They must have used a really good cut of meat, because it was soft and tender, plus the barbecue sauce that it got mixed with was thick, and slightly fruity in taste. The coleslaw was fresh, crunchy and tasty. It had a mixture of cabbage and green apple in it, which made it also a bit on the sweet side with the taste, and a slightly vinegar mixture added more to it. This was all done on a soft briohce, and went together perfectly. Again, the real complaint that I have does come down to the portion sizes and not having much meat on here, especially when it is as tender and buttery as it is right here. <br/ <br/ Last and not least is the milkshake. It was more or less a milkshake. This was certainly pretty sweet, and not in a bad way either. Instead of the usual syrup, this one was definitely burnt sugar, and the texture of the shake was smooth and creamy, obviously using good quality milk. <br/ <br/ Overall, I guess this place is alright. There was nothing too outright wrong with it, except maybe the potion sizes could have been a bit bigger. All the ingredients were decent quality, it meshed together well and I will give a place props for managing to keep it simple with each of their burgers. That is something that can 't be taken away from them, and having the sides also be just as simple gives it a bit of an old worldly charm when it comes to something that will never go out of style a decent burger. A touch to it all that was very nifty was the call back to fish and chip shops of old, using newspapers as wrapping or at least styling it as such. If there is one non food aspect that can be taken away from it all, it is this attention to detail. <br/ <br/ What with all of the burger places around town now, it is safe to say that Brisbane 's denizens have definitely become spoiled. The average quality of it is pretty high, and even a below average quality burger is still pretty good. When it is like that, what exactly it is is hard to put a finger on, plus mostly everyone who is into burgers is going to have their own opinion. That is more or less how I though of this burger from Hello Harry. There was nothing technically wrong with it, though at the same time I really knew that I have had better. That is about the long and short of it. <br/ <br/ TL;DR: This is another burger place that has the same ideas as many to be good quality, and make sure people like it, but harkening back and keeping it all simple. More of a pub type of grub than some of the others, they are doing well enough with offering a small array of options. Having chefs working behind the scenes, it is just as much about psychology behind making the food as well as what the food is on the plate. And to prove it can be done with a burger these days shows how mighty the old snack food really is."

"TL;DR: Another fish and chip shop that does what it needs to do.<br/ <br/ Newly arriving within Annerley, what we got is the local fish and chip shop for the residents. That is about the heads and tails of it to set out the picture, and what is definitely apparent is that for any of the locals it is a good fall back option and convenient. Possibly nothing else out there to distinguish it from the rest, so let 's dive right into it.<br/ <br/ Getting back from church early afternoon, I had a weight training session on with my personal trainer. Often when this happens, I get something a bit higher energy to eat afterwards or beforehand depending on the timing of when I arrive home. This time around, it was for afterwards but before leaving the house that morning I knew what it was going to be (or so I thought at the time ... bear with me .<br/ <br/ Cycling through UberEats for the umpteenth time, there was gong to be the usual one that I go to when I noticed that there were a few new ones which were open. It was then, before even leaving the house, that I knew it would be up front as the choice for when I got back; it was unavailable before the personal trainer arrived, hence there was the option of relying on the fall back option. However, after the session was over I went to check back and the good news awaited Blue Reef Fish and Chips was open for business. All that was left was to plug in the order, and then wait for it to arrive.<br/ <br/ Coming up to the service, it is all a usual case with UberEats. All of it was a case of just looking on the phone and seeing when it would arrive; this one was pretty quick from the get go, so all if quite good. Though it often varies, the delivery service often comes down to being a drop and run scenario, and that works out well in the end.<br/ <br/ The menu here is pretty much what you would expect from the local fish and chip shop. There is the range of fish and seafood, offered in various forms (crumbed, battered, grilled along with each one being able to be made into a meal. Followed up with that is a few of the basic, classic burgers including a steak sandwich then there is all the usual bits and bobs added on to the side (e.g. your fritters, the spring rolls, the potato scallops etc. , along with something fresh for those trying to be healthy. Like it was said, the seafood is available in grilled form and therefore they offer a few meals that come with salad.<br/ <br/ Also, like any self respecting fish and chip shop, it realises the potential in providing for families with their value packs. Giving the best of everything into one packet, there is a family pack, and one that is even bigger and for more people, upgrading some of the items to be a bit more substantial. Roping it in there, there is the old classic of the seafood basket which can feed one, two or three.<br/ <br/ It could end there, but there is one more stop to go before rounding it off. Up to here, it more or less gives what is expected (and possibly more in store on special but then they also provide some drinks as well. There will definitely be the usual range of sodas and that, but then there is also a treat beyond that. To top it all off, fresh juices and shakes are there to complete the meal and there is something about that that puts it that bit beyond in appeal.<br/ <br/ So with that being said, not stepping foot in the take away or seeing any photos online, my image of it is something like an old school style milk bar. That is about the best way to describe the food as well it is decent and filling, and will do for that time.<br/ <br/ Well, the perfect food afterwards for me these days appears to be the humble burger. And when it is fish and chips, trying their burgers for the first time it has to be the fish one. Keeping relatively simple still, it added on a bit to the usual arrangement they used crumbed cod with a combination of spinach, and lettuce, plus tomato, grilled onion, cheese and tartare sauce.<br/ <br/ To put on the burger, I went a bit the whole hog. Either a potato scallop or pineapple fritter can do well on a fish burger and knowing myself, I have tended to put as much as I could on a burger beforehand and this time was not an exception the question was why not both? Also, since we are getting a burger why not also have some fries on the side as well? These come in a few sizes, and the one for one was only a few dollars, so it made all the more sense then.<br/ <br/ And finally, to drink on the side it was hard to go past getting a milkshake. The good old classic banana flavour was the go. So the consensus is that overall this was a decent enough and filling meal. One that was worth getting, and did do its job. I have had better, but I also have had a lot worse as well. That might not be the best way to put it. Another way is that I can 't exactly fault it, but there is not anything that would distinctly warrant it above some others of its ilk.<br/ <br/ One thing that definitely can 't be faulted is the portion of the burger. It was substantial, and solid. The proportions were alright by me. It was on a soft seeded bun, and maybe could have benefited from a variety that was a little more hardy; since the bread was practically ripped already. Aside from that, it was a decent burger. They used real bits of fish, actual fillets and that, to build the snack, and the pieces were thick and well cooked. The batter was flavoursome and solid, with a good amount of salt in it. In fact, the fish was so big, the 'patty ' was really the two halves side by side. The mixture of salad items was fresh and decent, doing what was needed. The grilled onions was a good addition, but the cheese did seem out of place somehow. Finally, that tartare sauce was creamy and finished it all of well.<br/ <br/ For the bits on the side, the potato scallop was good as always simultaneously light but solid with the potato, and the pineapple fritter was solid and sweet. Trying to fit these on the burger made it essentially a tower. The fries on the side were substantial, cut thickly and doused with plenty of salt. They were crispy, and cooked pretty well with soft potato on the inside. If I were getting this as a simple snack, it would do the job pretty well just put it that way.<br/ <br/ And finally, the milkshake hit the spot. It is the standard sort, milk, some ice cream and the syrup, but by golly was it good. The texture was smooth and creamy, and they certainly put in a decent amount of flavouring since there was no mistaking the taste this time. All that made for a good, quick meal.<br/ <br/ As it stands at the moment, this is a decent enough fish and chip place that more or less does what it needs to do. If you are a local in the area, it is good enough to give it a go as well as if you find yourself in that general location as well. Is it good enough to travel many suburbs over? Perhaps not likely; fish and chip shops are pretty common around these parts. But you could do a lot worse as well. Nevertheless, none of it is a knock against Blue Reef which does what it needs to do."

"Probably the only place that has reasonably priced burgers that are still great quality (love the crispy patty on the vego burger)! The sweets are delicious too, and the staff are always friendly. My only criticism, which I feel bad even writing because you're a lovely small business, is that the two times I've ordered a milkshake via ubereats, it's never been delivered. Anyway, I wish you were open after 2pm so I could order from you more often my favourite vego burgers of all time!"

"Well located on Eagle Street, a stones throw from Eagle Street Pier, we entered through the large glass doors of Three Beans cafe to a spacious lobby. Inside, the attractive decor was warm and welcoming. To the left, a line of cosy tables spanned and to the right a large outdoor dining area with comfy chairs and awnings to protect diners from the elements greeted us. It was a nice day out, so we decided to sit outdoors- most of the other diners had the same thoughts.<br/ <br/ The all day menu had an extensive selection, catering for those who wanted a quick bite or for those who required more sustenance. A range of healthy bowls, burgers, wraps and sandwiches were on offer. <br/ <br/ We both had the same idea and decided on the healthy bowls. The Acai smoothie bowl was aesthetically pleasing and packed with summer fruits. The Nourish Bowl was as they said – a whole lot of goodness in a bowl. Both were fresh and appetising. <br/ <br/ Chai and Matcha would have to be two of our loves when it comes to beverages. I would have preferred my Matcha latte to have a richer more aromatic flavour . The same goes for the Chai tea. <br/ <br/ Today was our first visit to Three Beans Cafe and we were suitably impressed with the quality of the food, the attentive and friendly service and the comfortable surroundings. <br/ <br/ Food : 8.5/10<br/ Value : 8/10<br/ Service: 8/10<br/ Environment: 8/10"

"Hubby and I tootled along to this newly-opened café last week for a quick lunch. We were lucky enough to find a park for the car just round the corner. Service was friendly and efficient, the waitress very nice. Our order was taken quickly, and our food arrived within minutes. Very prompt indeed. I chose house made potato hash cakes, 2 chunky cakes on my plate with a poached egg (sadly a bit overdone; I like ‘em runny) and a couple of slices of chorizo. This was very filling, and made for a tasty lunch. My iced coffee was okay; not as strong as I like though. I guess I should have asked for a double shot.<br/ <br/ Hubby had a strawberry milkshake; not quite as he had hoped. For some reason, it is jolly hard to get a good one with enough flavouring and cold enough. Sadly this fell into the not so great category. His brunch burger was tasty, with lovely tender bacon and a hash cake instead of a meat pattie. (He gave me a piece of the soft bacon; which I loved). And his egg had a nice, runny centre. He really loved that the bun was not sweet (hard to find these days), and enjoyed this burger.<br/ <br/ We shared a plate of rosemary salted chips; delicious. They looked house made with quirky shapes and a tiny bit of skin on the ends (which we both liked). Crunchy, and soft inside.<br/ <br/ As one often finds these days, there are lots of hard surfaces which makes for a very loud, somewhat uncomfortable atmosphere. Honestly I’m happy to talk to my fellow diners, folks! Turn down the music please. Other than that, it is a lovely bright and colourful space with plenty of light. It is a bit Tardis-like too, as it has a fairly large interior.<br/ <br/ Thursday to Sunday it is open till late, with a bar and tapas also available."
