"We visited Markus Cafe yesterday and I was SO impressed by the upbeat and friendly attitude of the young guy working on the counter there. Not only did he greet us enthusiastically, he genuinely engaged with every single person who walked into the shop. It was clear that many of these customers were regulars and it is easy to see why they keep coming back.As well as excellent customer service, the food was also very nice. He also gifted my kids a babycino each and a kiwifruit - so kind!If I am back in that area again, I will be sure to visit Markus cafe again. It is nothing special to look at, but the customer service was literally the best I have had in Sydney for years."

"Literally stumbled into this cafe, it's been a long while since I've walked past this corner of the Chase. It's tucked away in one of the side alley to the carpark, a few different businesses had been & gone, hope this cafe doesn't go the same way. The first thing that got my attention was the display of sweet offerings at the entrance. Was going to just get a sweet treat to try, but was surprised that they also had a pretty extensive savoury menu for brunch & lunch. Got the Breakfast Tartine instead, which was basically bacon, eggs, avo & tomato on toast. It was beautifully presented, taste good & good value for $12 given we're inside the Chase. Also got a chocolate eclair to takeaway, it wasn't too bad. Will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu."

"We started to eat here every so often after our favourite Chatswood cafe spot (Fresh Taste) closed down. I have to say that the staff, service and food is all of top quality. The menu is really interesting and there's a lot of variety. I particularly love the bacon and egg brioche roll with BBQ sauce- it's absolutely delicious and has a great combo of flavours. The hot chocolate is always nice (as well as the coffee, I'm told), plus the desserts are scrumptious as well- we had one of the chocolate cake desserts and its was just lovely, nice and rich but not overpowering, and the staff made a cute smiley face with the chocolate fudge sauce on the plate which was a nice touch. The staff are always jovial and kind and make every effort to make your visit a pleasant one. This is definitely a great place to eat, sitting outside either in the summer or winter."

"I didn't find this place too bad. Came for breakfast with a friend (it was fairly quiet) and ordered the big breakfast. Good service, good variety and quantity of food on the plate, and pricing is fair (if a little on the high side). Convenient location and enjoyable decor"

"Have been there for a few times, and each time I had a good experience. I love their hot chocolate, high quality and beautiful latte arts. Very good location, a nice place for brunch or rest after shopping. Will try their desserts in the future."

"Got the Vivid special Night Hawk, which consist of spicy fried chicken, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, pickles & mayo. The chicken was nicely done, had a bit of a kick but not too spicy. The cheese was bit powdery. The bun was ok, but it was just a plain hamburger roll, nothing particularly special. Overall ok. The fries on the other hand were great, crispy & moorish!"

"We were greatly excited to purchase the tempting and ornate "decorated fondant cake" which was enticing us through the window.<br>
However, our hopes for a deliciously perfect cake were dashed to pieces. A quick try of the first piece revealed to us that the gluten freeness of the cake had given the gorgeous cake a not so gorgeous taste. <br>

It tasted like a semi-sweet sponge-like cheese with a hint of cocoa. It had very little taste and left you wanting a nicer, sweeter treat. <br>
It will suffice to say that it had a most disappointing flavour as the cakes looks tell a different story of it's taste. <br>

The $30 cake's overall horribleness completely overshadowed the niceness of its only good feature; the macaroons. <br>
<br>
If you must go back to Zumbo, purchase the macaroons. <br>
I, nevertheless, will not be going back to this pricey shop again."
