"OMG the truly best burgers, when I get a craving for one I am there, you can have whatever you want on it and some times it is hard to decide. Of course they are close to where I live so I can pop down on a whim, but they are 100% beef and the best."

"Went here on a recommendation from the hotel staff. It's quite dated, looks like an old school diner. It was once on the show " you gotta eat here". Service was a little slow and the booths are quite tight for a family of 4. Mussels, seafood chowder and burgers were excellent! Fish tacos were good but seemed to be missing something for me. All in all a pretty good experience."

"Always great service here. Nice spacing between tables, really keeping up with cleaning with sanitizer on every table.We had hot beverages and snacks as we gamed which was lovely.Also have a great selection of games and supplies for Warhammer figurines and some world building things."

"Great Diner. My first impressions when walking into Mary's Place was how homey and warm the diner felt. It fells like you are walking into your grandmother's kitchen. We were greeted immediately by a really friendly lady who also noticed our posters we were carrying from a protest we just attended. She gave words of support and proceeded to answer my questions regarding a vegan menu. She said that they will take care of us and answer any questions. Basically anything they have they can accomodate us and also mentioned they do lots of gluten-free options as well. <br/ <br/ When browsing the menu, I noticed many options and one really cool feature was their vegan combo menu listed on the bottom. Three items for 10 dollars and any additions are only 2 dollars extra. For Halifax, that is truly a fantastic deal. Hubby and I both went for combos. Many of the dishes are Indian in orietation. I ordered the garlic potatoes, basmati rice and veggie patty. It arrived promptly and was a good size portion. <br/ <br/ The garlic dip was a bit discerning when looking at it but we called over the waitress and she assured us that it was vegan, with no animal ingredients. The food was tasty, filling and satisfying. I loved the potatoes! <br/ <br/ We both enjoyed our meal and the pleasant service we received, as well as it being extremely affordable. <br/ <br/ Next time I hope they have vegan ice cream in so I can get myself a vegan milkshake. :"

"Me and the guys from work go here every few weeks, we get the same thing every time because straying from what we love might lead to disappointment. The Bacon Cheeseburger with the works/fries and a drink for about $7-8. The bacon is usually many pieces not just one or two. When you arrive you take a chit from the counter and a pencil, write down what you want in your group and hand it to the owners who also work there. Can get busy at lunch so head over around 11:15-11:30. You can call them in advance tel:+19024548140 and give them your order over the phone if you have a large group like ours of 10-12. You won't be disappointed with the food, the retro furniture,plates and friendly service."
