"Of us ate here on Sat July. On sitting down, the cakes on show looked fantastic and that's where it ended. We ordered soups and thought after that we would have the cake and coffee after the soup. We ordered and paid...at the same time for the soup and then waited, and waited and waited. Other customers came and went and we were still waiting and waiting. mins later the soup came, no flavour, a watery plate of barley carrots. The weird thing was that none of the soups looked the same although we ordered the same soup. Some bowls had carrot in the soup and some almost none. Bread was served with the soup and butter, we had to butter the bread with the back of our spoons as no knifes were given to us. All of us left our soup half way through and left. Bland and no taste. Had we not paid up front, we would have left. Will not return."

"This place was a favourite of ours years ago with great sandwiches and cakes but it 's gone right down hill. The position is amazing with wonderful lake views and was alive with small birds visiting the feeders. No feeders now equals very few birds. I think the most depressing aspect is everything is disposable . Paper plates and cups and wooden utensils aren 't pleasant to eat and drink from. Very little choice of food, which was just ok , nothing special or memorable. Very few customers and I can see why, it was cold and felt sad and soulless. Management need to revert to how it used to be if they want to succeed."

"Really great soft game for my 10-month old and it was free for under-1s, so a complete bargain (each 50p per adult). very clean, lots of equipment and toys in the baby area to keep us occupied. the staff was very friendly and our hot chocolates were delicious. perfect for a rainy day in seahouses!"
