"Stopped in yesterday from out of town for a quick bite before a show. I had the statehouse breakfast with French toast, Just Egg scramble, and tempeh bacon with an iced coffee with oat creamer. Everything was great, but the French toast was seriously the best I have ever had. If I wasn’t staying in Dayton, I would have come back this morning for breakfast! Definitely recommend!"

"Went there on a busy weekend, so there was a line and cars had trouble getting into the cramped parking lot. They share a space with Frankie’s Pizza, so cars have to squeeze back behind Rita’s to park and pick up their pizza. I mention this just to show timing matters when visiting. The selections are numerous and there’s various options of custard or Italian Ice to try. I’m no expert on quality, but the small custard twist cup tasted great to me. I plan to return to try the Italian Ice."

"Bareburger is conveniently located close to the convention center and North Market downtown. They have several vegan (and even more vegetarian) options for burgers. You can build your own custom burger with choice of bun, burger, and toppings or choose one of their options with pre-selected toppings on the menu. There is a dizzying array of choices! They also have onion rings, sweet potato fries, or regular fries as sides. I got an impossible burger, and it was way to big for me to finish... I couldn't even make it to the bottom of my container of fries. Everything was really tasty. They have a casual atmosphere and good music. I LOVE the bear decorations in Bareburger. It probably wasn't the healthiest meal, but I guess what can one expect from a burger and fry place? I would give them four stars, but it kind bums me out to see bison as one of the burger options on the menu. Gross."
