"There are more beautiful Sam Woo’s than this place, but the food is so good here that I just ignore the dilapidated view of the place and probably their C rating from the Health Dept. Its pretty authentic Chinese cuisine here. I know that because most customers are FOB-bie – Chinese and Filipino, the representatives of the local community. And what would a Chinese restaurant be without the ubiquitous and inconspicuous waiting staff? Yah, I feel at home when I spy these big fish tanks that explains the fishy smell to the place. But ahhh, my food comes fast and hot. My stomach, taste buds and eyes are so happy! I have ordered many things here, too many names, and his always good. It always tastes the way it should be. No fusion experiment was here. Very comfortable from the South Street exit from the 91fwy at the corner of Pioneer and South Street. It has its own parking place that is always full, but there is usually someone to pull out. Waiting is never really long. Have fun and good times with friends here about good food."

"Still the best wonton noodle soup! That’s what the 5 stars are for. The noodles are good quality and cooked perfectly, toothsome, no mush. The wontons have that fresh mouth feel (song hau), and just the right size, small enough to pop in my mouth, but not too small, plenty of shrimp, and really great flavor. Bok choy is fresh, crisp. Broth is clear and flavorful. And all this for only $4.25. I can’t believe I had almost forgotten about the great wonton noodle soup here. But that’s probably because there are always scads of people waiting for a table and I’m always too hungry to wait that long."
