"Gas station is great, but the shoulder length blonde working the counter Easter Sunday, 2020 and 11:23 am your attitude is horrible. I understand that times are crazy right now, but that doesn?t give you the right to be snotty to people. Simply say please put the barcode right side up. That?s it. If you?re life is that horrible perhaps you should find a job that would have laid you off the minute all this happened, and kept your attitude quarantined at home."

"Stopped by after doing some grocery shopping. I ordered a pumpkin cream cold brew and a vanilla cream cold brew. The barista accidentally made two pumpkin creams because when I picked them both up they looked exactly the same and weren’t labeled. I asked which one was vanilla and she realized the mistake and went to make the vanilla. Meanwhile I moved the two pumpkin ones to the side so they weren’t in the way. She comes back with the vanilla and then asked for one of the pumpkin ones back! After I had already touched it! I gave it back because, fair, I only got two drinks and I really didn’t need a third but it’s happened to me twice before at other locations where they’ve messed up and I’ve tried to give the wrong one back and the barista says that for health code reasons they can’t take it back. I guess there’s no health code here!"

"This was quite the unexpected treat. The al pastor was great with just the right amount of pineapple to get a hint of sweet. The portobello was delicious. Earthy and rich and beautiful. But the Baja specialties were a true delight! Bright and flavorful, crisp and savory. So darn good I ordered more. The outside seating and excellent selections of music were just bonuses. Can't wait to go back."

"This is my favorite place in town. The food stands up to any restaurant in any city. I am there easily 3 times a week. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, all fabulous. The staff is great. Friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is clean and modern. My one and only complaint is that the lighting at night is too harsh to be inviting. Fabulous place. Love the owners. What a gift that place is!"

"Haven't been back for several months and after going I realized why. The guy that waited on us (again) has to either be the owner, manager, or owner's son. It took him about 10 minutes to even approach our table. He took our order, which was served quickly by someone else. He never came back to the table to check on us or to see if I wanted another beer. Isn't that how they make money and a higher tip? We had to ask the hostess who came to pour more water if we pay up front since the waiter never bothered to come back to check on us or drop off the bill. The lack of attention absolutely was not due to being short staffed or busy. Plus the guy sat playing on his phone nearly the whole time we were there. Time to find another Indian restaurant in Boise!"

"Such a great neighborhood bar. Plenty of tables and some of the best pub food around. Surprisingly delicious! The pancetta mac and cheese is so good I don’t want to try anything else! Good beer and liquor selection. Friendly staff. This place is the best!"

"Fun drinks but the service was terrible. I went for pre dinner drinks with my husband and two daughters. We arrived 90 minutes before needing to head off for dinner. I had been to Water bear a few times before and was aware of the slower service than the average bar. We all had a round of drinks. Our waitress was just in general rude. Not sure why. We were dressed for Holiday dinner, we are quite and respectful, we had made reservations and arrived on time. We had 40 minutes left after the first round so 2 of our party ordered a second drink a beer and a Campari and soda. We did inform the waitress that we had to leave in 30 minutes giving ourselves ten minutes of wiggle room. She assured us this would not be a problem and went ahead and brought the total check. We waited 25 minutes and no second drinks even though they were on the billl. I stopped her and said we would need to cancel the last two and leave. Again we made her fully aware of our schedule prior to ordering the drinks. She refused to cancel the drinks and grabbed the bill and credit card and rang them up. Still with no second round. They came about 5 minutes later and my daughter drank a little of hers and my husband did drink his beer. I have to say this is the rudest I have ever been treated at a bar. Love the fact that this a women owned bar and want to support it. Unfortunately will not risk this type of service again."
