"Did i like it
Yes. It's the first time I've tried to eat in a shabu-shabu so I don't really know what to expect but I had a great time and a full stomach.

Here's how it works, first you choose 2 broths, we tried satay and the spicy one (sorry, I forgot what it's called). Then choose the ingredients that you want to add to your broth. We had beef, seafood, some of the specialty balls, vegetables and noodles. Then each person would select a free item à la carte (only one-time order, for subsequent orders from this selection an additional fee will be charged).

The food was good. I loved the satay broth. The specialty balls and usda beef were fantastic with both broths we picked. I ordered the salmon sashimi for my a la carte free meal, but it wasn't thawed thoroughly. The only downside was the dessert as it could use some improvement.

The service was a little slow and we had to call the staff a couple of times to be entertained but it's not really that bad.

Is it affordable?
For the lunch buffet it is only 550 per person, but without drinks.

Am i coming back
Yes. It's one of the cheapest buffets I've known, and while the choice is limited, the food is still ok. :) :)"

"Yoshinoya is a Japanese fast food restaurant known for its beef bowls. Directly translated as Yoshi's shop, since Yoshi is a name, no indicates possession, and ya means shop This place has an area downstairs where you can order food to-go when you're in a hurry but if not, I suggest you visit the second floor shop. Once you make your way up, you'll appreciate the bright orange color that adorns the interiors of the restaurant, in my opinion, it has a cute vibe to it I then ordered the Beef Misono meal. It's a rice bowl with Sukiyaki beef cuts. That's how we call these slices of meat in my former job, but not sure if it's a common term for it....read more"

"Big big fan of Japanese food! The only downside is that it can be a bit expensive. While it applies to most of the Japanese restaurants I know (except Tokyo Tokyo), Yamazaki is proof that Japanese cuisine can be cheap yet authentic. Yamazaki is a hole in the wall restaurant in Little Tokyo Makati. It looks like a restaurant outside, but when you step inside its doors you will be surprised that the first thing you would see is the grocery store that sells Japanese products.

What I like about the hotel is that it serves good Japanese food with huge portions but for a cheaper price. I think it has something to do with the cost of the interior (design of the whole) so it's not as expensive as the others.

I love the food and everything about it, but what I don't like is the ambience and other waitresses who are a bit "rude". All in all, everything is more than ok ????"

"At first glance, the food may look expensive. But let me tell you, it's worth it! I ordered the pork tenderloin set meal. I loved that the rice and cabbage shreddings were refillable! There was also miso soup included plus some fruit. My hungry tummy and katsu cravings were definitely satisfied!

+ Staff were attentive and friendly.
+ The place looked a little worn out but it was peaceful anyway. You'll forget it when they serve you the food."

"So far, Hitsumabushi in Nagoya is the second best meal I've had in Japan and I'm so glad I found it in Manila! Hitsumabushi basically eats unagi rice in "4" ways but first divides it into quadrants and then enjoys it - (1) as it is; (2) with the spices of spring onions, wasabi, sesame seeds and nori; (3) with spices and broth; (4) back to your favorite. My favorite is actually between 2 and 3, I just don't add that much broth. The taste is amazing ???????? Make a special request to have their excellent eel instead of the fine one (what's on the menu).

Of course the one I had in Nagoya is way better than this one, but I was still glad because they did well. The 'Excellent Eel' is definitely a better choice, the portion was good too, and the quality of the wasabi was great. Highly recommend you come here and eat this instead of the plain unagi rice. Make sure you get the Excellent Eel as the Fine Eel as the price difference is not very big for the quality. The price is a little high, but it's unagi and it may be your only chance to experience Hitsumabushi.

IG: FOODINSQUARESPH

Not sure about the eel bones starter, nothing special so I would suggest you skip it.

This place is getting more and more popular, so come on soon!"

"I've wanted to try Tonkatsuya since then, but I don't have the time even though the location of this restaurant is in Makati. Years have passed, but I still haven't tried Tonkatsuya to the point where I've forgotten its existence due to the sprouting restos in the metropolis.

It was 2 weeks ago when I noticed that there was a new Japanese restaurant near me. At first I didn't realize it's Tonkatsuya. It took me 2 long weeks to try their food, still not knowing that it is Tonkatsuya and not just an ordinary Jap place. I just realized everything when reading their menu.

I ordered their bestseller, the Tonkatsu set, while my mother had the Ebi tempura set. Everything was excellent! No oil can be seen in the peel, even though it is fried. I love how you can share your order and still get your fill. The only thing missing is the dressing for the cabbage. You have to pay an additional fee for the dressing. However, you can use the Katsu sauce or the Kikoman-like sauce / Japanese soy sauce (not sure what that is) for the cabbage.

Cant wait to try the other sets, especially the one with curry! The price is super cheap and you know it's an authentic Japanese restaurant because you will see Japanese people eating there. The staff are very enthusiastic and you will immediately feel at home. Kudos to you!

I recommend this place! Try it out now!
"

"Had dinner here with my office friends, and everything tasted so good. We ordered two cheese katsu sets, and one katsu set. They were generous with their servings. The miso soup tasted authentic. Gyoza was cooked just right. Delicious food for an affordable price Serving was pretty quick, too. Waited less than minutes."

"I delivered it. her cheese catsu is simple (cheese slice on top of katsu), but is tasty. karrage is also good. I wish they would give more sauce. they get a lot of food. the biggest stow is probably the fact that they have a minimum order fee for the containers (what is why I would give them one instead of one it would almost consider me to go only there, but I am lazy af. taste direction it is a step upwards on almost food (think yamazaki bento if it was by little tokyo)"

"Mount Katsu is huuuge! Definitely good for sharing. It comes with onion rings and a giant slab of Katsu. The Makirito was delicious, as long as you get the Karaage one. My friend said the Kani Makirito was mostly rice and not enough kani Potato balls are delicious. Tempura was okay. Better get the at rather than the at Ramen broth tastes good but the noodles are clumpy and worse than convenience store instant noodles There is a female server that needs to be reminded several times if you ask for anything. Low rating is mostly because of this."
