"Stylish place located in a fashionable basement. Not purist since their menu includes some Chinese dishes (like lo mein), but they can't mix a proper Irish coffee on a bleak day, which lets you know that they are beholden to their cuisine. Friendly waitstaff, not Englishly challenged. Parking is public and usually plentiful. Prices fair and the food is delicious."

"A few days ago, my Son and I dined at Mr. Sushi for the 3rd time. The first time was about 3 years ago. We sat at the sushi bar. My Son enjoyed his rolls, but I was not that excited about the sashimi dinner I had. The 2nd time was about 3 months ago. We had hibachi. The performance was fun, and the exotic drinks were great. However, for that meal I would have rated the place 4 stars. There was a lot of food, but my steak was a little difficult chew. Fast forward to our recent visit, and I had to give the place 5 stars. We sat at the sushi bar. My Son ordered hot sake and I ordered 2 different exotic drinks all very good. We had miso soup, which was good, and then ordered 3 of the special rolls. They were absolutely fantastic. The size was somewhat smaller than usual, which I prefer, because you can actually get the entire piece into your mouth at one time. We enjoyed them so much that we ordered 2 more rolls also fantastic. We particularly liked the Fish Finder and the Christmas roll. I want to go back soon for more. I wish this place were closer to where I live. This restaurant is not fancy, but very pleasant. It has several hibachi tables in one section, and a separate section with a small sushi bar, a regular bar, booths. The arrangement is good because people can sit based upon what they are eating. The service was excellent. A waiter was always readily available. The sushi chefs don't interact with the patrons. They just focus on practicing their craft, which is fine with me. If you go for the atmosphere, you might be a little disappointed but, with sushi rolls that good, you don't really need atmosphere. The prices overall are very reasonable. I've paid a lot more for a lot less interesting sushi. Their special rolls are very creative. I keep thinking about the next time I can eat more of them."
