"We stopped here while shopping at the outlet in New Westminster and I have to say it was not the best. The prices were a little high compared to other sushi places in and around Vancouver and for the quality and variety it is down...right expensive and not really worth it. The rolls we had were just OK. The gyoza was not very good either. If you have your heart set on sushi and don't feel like driving to something better then this would be your best choice otherwise I would pass on this place."

"Came here for casual dinner on way from train station. The staff very friendly and good service. I ordered the salmon terraki and my brother ordered the beef meal bento. The tempura & miso was really good. My salmon was perfectly cooked. I ordered some sashimi but felt a bit warm - I like it ice cold. The meal was really great value for money. We will come again and have used this as a take out. The premises could do with freshening up a bit."

"When I was at the New Westminster Stn. Last weekend I decided to visit “Togo Sushi”. I ordered the Tropical Roll and the House Roll. First what I noticed was, that they didn’t have any servers despite the restaurant was small, One had to pick up the meal from the counter after the call of the order number. The soy sauce was delivered just u=in a small cup; its opening was not large enough to dip the roll in it. The House Roll was not bad: The combination of smokes salmon and prawn tempura tasted good. I cannot say the same about the Tropical Roll: The applied Mango sauce was too sticky and far too sweet. I would certainly never order that roll at this restaurant again.The biggest shock came when I was about to discard my waste: The waste bin was overflowing; I was not able to put my stuff in it. I have never seen such a mess in any fast food restaurant in the world that I visited so far.2.5 out of 5"

"I went for lunch and ordered dishes. Amazing how could be so good and could be so bad. The spicy tuna donburi on brown rice was excellent. Lots of tuna, spiciness was great and rice was perfectly done. star. On the...other hand, the veggie tempura was absolutely horrible. Good tempura is light and delicate. These giant dense slabs of carrot, yam, squash and (something unidentifiable) were dripping grease and tasted like they'd been cooked in a deep fryer of week old oil. Not very appetizing and I couldn't finish the order. star. So, I've averaged it out to star. There is way better termpura around, but not much better donburi. I know what I won't be ordering again"

"We moved to New West almost a year ago from North Burnaby. Realized earlier this year that we always drive back to the old neighbourhood for dinners out. Started going out every Thursday evening to different restaurants in New West to get to know our local restaurants. This was our first Japanese restaurant. It was really, really clean was my first impression. Service was immediate for drinks and then again very prompt for dinner orders. I am not a sushi fan so I had prawn tempura and chicken teriyaki don. It was the best chicken teriyaki I have ever had. Juicy, tender and flavoured just right. My husband had nabeyaki udon which was great and tekkamaki . It was also wonderful. He always orders extra wasabi. He didn't need to. Said this was the hottest wasabi he has ever had. Loved it. Families, couples and friends were dining there. Comfortable atmosphere and lovely servers. What more could you want. And very reasonably priced."

"We placed our order, and I said I wanted to keep a menu because I wanted to order more food. our server agreed. they close every day of 3 4 clock, which is good. but when I asked to place my order at 2:36, I was. that's strange because the server knew I wanted to order more food. Why didn't she ask me for a last call and if the sign says that the restaurant closes by 15 o'clock, then the kitchen should still be in the position to eat with 24 minutes to the left. I could understand if it was 5 minutes to close. but why do they come to the table with an order pad and pencil ready to go order and then say apologies, kitchen closed. - Just weird. we finished the station on the way to home at another sushi place to order 80.00 in food."

"We have been coming here for both sushi take-out and dine-in since living in New West (2008). It is in a hard to find location with out of the way parking, but the food, service and prices are out of sight! I really like the Deluxe Chirashi Sushi bowl, and my daughter likes the Udon and Ramen bowls. The pressed mackerel sushi is really good too. The staff are friendly, and efficient. I encourage you to try this place!"
