"Feeling like a little snack mid-afternoon, whilst doubting this joint could indeed be any good, it was the best option near where I was...so I ordered the most famous Vietnamese dish of them all..Pho.& not only does their version bear little resemblance to it, even just as an Asian-style soup ( let alone distinctively Vietnamese) it is a travesty of a decent chicken soup of ANY kind.The original Pho begins with a deeply flavoured stock -- theirs was SO sweet you immediately knew it was in fact MSG broth & little else! The rice noodles where so over cooked they were breaking up, & whilst the chicken option I had chosen did in fact have a decent amount of tender chicken shreds--- they served almost ALL the wrong accompaniments... lemon instead of lime, chopped spring onions (?) too small an amount of fresh chilli & NO Viet mint at all --- plus ( it gets even worse) one container of Thai-style liquid chilli paste sauce & also another with a sweet Chinese-style Hosien type dark soy-based sauce.... nether belonging to the Vietnamese legion of culinary flavours.What a disgrace! Steer clear of this over-priced rubbish..... my 'cup' was$6.50 & it's an insult to that country's cooking tradition & an insult to anyone who knows even the slightest thing about Vietnam & its glorious food tradition to dare to present this dreadful food at all ..... let alone call it Vietnamese!"
