"Deerwood Bistro had been on my list to try for awhile. I brought my family on a Saturday morning, and although busy it was not overly crowded with seating available. Instead of table service, you place your order and pay at the front register. My husband is not a fan of this nor having to tip prior to being served. Personally I don't mind, and prefer the self service for drink refills. I ordered the omelet with avocado and hash browns. It was tasty. My son ordered the ciabatta breakfast sandwich and devoured it. My husband ordered the corn beef hash and hash browns and felt the portions too small. Overall, I would try Deerwood Bistro again... just without my husband lol."

"I attended a breast cancer lunch and the event was amazing. my waitress was marissa and when I say she was phenomenal, that is an understatement. the manager/owner came over and his gast friendship was fantastic. I will definitely come to this place more often"

"Really great food and service. We were seated right away. We got the br adI ordered the 6 oz Flo's Filet, medium rare, with a side of shrimp, mixed green salad with balsamic vinaigrette, and a loaded baked potato. I had strawberry lemonade and a shot of Fireball and Dr. Pepper. My daughter had the kids chicken tenders with oranges. She drank Apple juice. My friend had the chopped steak with the Mac n cheese and fries. He ordered the house ale to drink. My shrimp came on rice pilaf, which was also good. Our server was really nice and had great customer service skills. The only thing here that was messy was the restroom. There were just paper towels everywhere. I'd definitely come back here though."

"The menu was... different... Not bad... Just different. I thought the food was a bit pricey but it was good. The staff was great and very accommodating. We had a very large party to celebrate my mother who passed a couple years ago. This is where we held her memorial and they always treat us well."

"Certainly not the worst pizza in Jax but by no means the best! Since I moved to Jax in 2003 I 've tried the so called Best in Jax three times and never was I impressed. Even after the first time in 2004 I was willing to try it again, but no luck. Now in 2022, the same, it hasn 't gotten any better. In fact this last purchase of a large pizza only half was consumed the rest was fed to our dog but she didn 't even love it...ate the crust only! So my results, I will never eat at Al 's nor recommend it to anyone. Sorry but not sorry, the truth sometimes hurts."
