"Always have a beautiful takeaway from here. Quality is always second to none. The owner is so helpful and very easy to talk to. Loads of meat and the taste is exceptional. I have been buying curries from here since it opened in 1992 and the quality of service, customer care and attention to detail has never wavered. Always worth a try and you will not be disappointed. The Indian cottage is an award winning establishment fir a reason. It is simply sensational."

"We ordered for 7:45 2 hours in advance however the food was still 1 hour late coming out at 8:39! Food was great can’t complain but the wait needs looked at. Thanks"

"Just wow! What a lovely warm cozy village pub. Thursday evening myself children and parents booked a table for a birthday meal, it was perfect, food was beautiful real home cooked food. Lovely Atmosphere! We were welcomed by a lovely lady who was no...other than brilliant with my children especially Dylan my eldest who has autism, Her approach and manner was quite frankly magic (sorry didn’t catch her name) Tall dark haired Needless to say we will be back very soon"

"While the food we have had from here is OK, the service and one particular incident has lost me and several of our friends and family as future customers. We booked some meals during COVID via the on-line ordering service. Doing our bit to support...local business. We collected the meals at the agreed time and everything was OK, food wise. A few months later we received a bank statement and notice we had been charged twice for the same meals. Despite telephoning and being promised someone would call me back, they didn 't. I then tried to contact them via their Contact us option on their website and sending a direct e-mail and to this day still no acknowledgement. We will not be using them again."

"We have visited this restaurant twice in the last two years each time it’s got worse. I thought we would try one last time as Barney is limited with choice and we were late bookers. Oily starters, cheese slices in the cheese garlic naan tasted like plastic and every dish tasted like a veg curry, tough meat and every main dish was not finished. Even the dog would have turned its nose up at this!! It’s ok though because we will take the naan off the bill and give you an extra chocolate. Won’t visit again, if you know anything about food, Indian or otherwise swerve this place like the wind."

"I have eaten there a few times. Today I went for the vegetarian option. Cauliflower schnitzel and new potatoes. A baked aubergine and tomato gratin (it was called something else) asa little side. Basil oil which I asked for in a separate bowl. Sounded exciting....Big mistake! The gratin was nice, but the cauliflower was too soft, maybe it was precooked, cooked to death and now water logged. The potatoes tasted as if they had been left in Luke warm water for a couple of days. I felt ill after. The Cajun spice on the cauliflower was the best not. All in all the blade of beef would have been the more traditional but better option. It is a shame when a chef doesn’t take the veggie option serious enough. Veggie food often requires skill and great care and I couldn’t taste that today. I love that pub and the service, the interior, the staff as always is top. So three stars still, but please cook the cauliflower with love and a little care in future."

"It's only fair to start with the good. A very good arrangement of drinks behind the bar but overpriced, hence we only had 1 drink a night instead of 3 or 4. Cheaper to go get a bottle of wine from the supermarket. Food was 10/10 but again expensive so went to Durham for a great curry and it was cheaper. Staff were all very nice. Breakfast was a bit of a let down, no tongs to get bread to the toaster. The thought of everyone touching the bread was unwelcome. Orange Apple juice was not cold but the full English was spot on. Now to the room. Whoever they got to paint the rooms needs sacking, really lazy shoddy work. You can clearly see it all needs a 2nd coat and just move the toilet lid instead of painting around it. I wouldn't stay here again but I would eat if passing."
