"Nawroz is a cafeteria restaurant in gateshead that serves fresh Kurdish food. the menu is not very extensive, but includes suppening, grilled chicken, lamb or kofta and various stuffing. I had the fantastic lamb-Qoozy that was so tender that it just fell apart. my man. and son had both the mixed grill- 4 spits meat served with salat, brot and suppe. with 3 softdrinks came the bill to £20.00 bargain! the amazing nanbrot costs £1.00 for 4 if ordered as extra or they can buy it via the road in the Kurdish bakery where it is fresh from the often and steam hot. 2 great little places worth a visit."

"My two granddaughters like their Mc Donald’s so after shopping we went there for lunch. The prices seem to be creeping upwards as do all restaurants, shops etc. chicken nugget meal for the youngest, a chicken and bacon wrap the eldest and a double burger for me as my one odd yearly McDs. Utilising the app, as opposed to queuing meant food was brought to the table much quicker which was a plus."

"Possibly the best takeaway I've been to. Staff are always friendly and haven't had a bad meal from here. As well as Indian cuisine, you can also get Kebabs and pizza so everyone is catered for. I'm outside the delivery area so always collect from here which I don't mind given the quality. Highly recommend ordering from here!"

"First time going since it was taken over. It's been given a bright makeover. It was lovely to see it busy too. The food was fab, one of the nicest steaks I've had. Very reasonable prices. "I ordered fishcake and chips. Fishcake was mostly barely fish, but the chips were nice. friend had kebab and chios and said it was good. yes, it was a bit hit and miss, but near us and the staff was nice, so would go back."
