"Our family party of three and Hovawart dog were warmly welcomed by the lone waitress whom we quickly confirmed was the friendly Australian lady mentioned in some of the other reviews. The restaurant itself doesn’t look particularly special from the outside and the interior is functional with a bright “landhaus” style feel to the place. But it is certainly comfortable enough with special little homely touches making the differenceIn addition to the extensive, imaginative menu there were some additional specials for the day. In fact we needed some help in making our choices after which we sat back and nibbled on some cheese twirls and tiny pieces of brown bread with two delicious dips. After quite a delay owing to the fact that all the meals are freshly prepared, our first courses arrived. I had chosen the special soup of the day which was a delicious pepper/coconut soup with garlic, curry and walnut/basilicum croutons. My wife went for a red beet/coconut soup which was equally delicious. For the main course I couldn't resist the description of the rib-eye steak - Black Angus Entrecôte-Steak in „Café de Paris“ butter with baked Campagne di Cascine Käse. It was very well presented - three plates - one hot plate dish for the steak, one side dish for the oven prepared potato with butter and one huge plate with a selection of exotic garnishes. Both presentation and taste were outstanding! My wife enjoyed an enormous plate of smoked trout filet with warm potato salad and fried salad! She couldn't finish it. Our unadventurous son wanted a simple schnitzel which we were told wasn't available in such an establishment. However the recommended child's portion of pork schnitzel (not breaded) with fried potatoes went down well with him which is saying something. For drinks I went for the Einbecher traditional Pils beer and my wife plumped for a terribly sweet white wine which matched her expectation completely. Service throughout was friendly and efficient. You are warned that fresh food takes time to prepare so don’t expect a quick turn around here. You are also warned that only cash is accepted as payment – somewhat strange in this modern world. We parted company with 80,00 Euro for the three of us. Expensive? On the upper side for this part of the country perhaps, but we felt that the quality and attention to details matched the price. Certainly worth a visit."

"Maybe there's no operation. Nen table gave it very fast without reservation. It was already at speed. At some point, there were drinks but there was still no card. Was there already at the superior to leave the store. Then got the card yourself. Even the food was waiting. Filled fillet was probably not the right choice, because it wasn't through. It was fried again. Sorry. The plate could have been a bit fuller, so the prices were OK. I didn't find the place cozy either. All in all: surely the restaurant will not be visited once again."
