"The fit out is fantastic, setvice was exceptional. Even when the wine we selected was not available, the waiter brought out a ich better wine and charged the original bottle price. Good service. My only criticism is that it was very noisy. Too may hard surfaces refracting noise."

"This was our second time at Lord Cardigan first visit we gave it 5 stars but this time they let themselves down. We arrived at 12.30 for lunch on a Sunday and the place was empty except for a couple of late breakfast diners....We were given the wine list but the actual food menus took about 10 minutes to surface. We shared 3 courses. Oysters natural, the kingfish carpaccio, and the fish of the day which was a King George Whiting with various accompaniments and a stuffed zucchini flower on top. We also had the beetroot fetta salad. Given the first 2 courses were cold you'd think they'd come out relatively quickly and as there was no other diners. But it took about 30 minutes until the oysters arrived and then another 20 minutes before we got the carpaccio. By this stage a few other diners had started arriving. So far we'd been here for over an hour and only had two entrees. Unfortunately the main course didn't arrive for over 40 minutes. And the stuffed zucchini flower was a no show for some reason. And also by this stage we'd finished our bottle of wine well before the main course hit the table (that's how long everything took). We also had to move our car twice as it was in an hour car space. Not sure if there was only one person in the kitchen but there didn't seem to be much food coming out to other tables either. This was extremely disappointing as we really loved this place the first time. Despite all of this the food was still outstanding. The service was good if not very slow at the start."

"We love the Japanese pottery on display at this restaurant. I now realise that the old owners are no longer there. The sushi was poorly sliced, they were large pieces that could not be shared. The sushi was poorly cut and the fish was not of a high quality. This food is below industry standard, and we will never return, unless we wish to purchase some Japanese pottery. The service given was excellent, but 80bucks for a very ordinary first course does not ring my bells. Next time I will go there for a cup of tea if I want to buy to Japanese pottery in the future, but never lunch or dinner."
