"We all like to eat 'well ' but sometimes we just want to eat good wholesome food cooked in a good wholesome way at a nice wholesome price! Restaurante Rafael run by pleasant Brazilians fits that bill. I have lunched there a few times lately as I have been working close by and I cant really fault it! It is clean and tidy, basic decor, bit cold due to current climatic conditions as I write this but you do get the 'wholesomeness ' I mentioned above. They serve Portuguese and Braxilian food and the last visits I have had a superb Feijoada, melt in the mouth Pataniscas of Bacalhau and terrific secretos of pork. Always a nice mixed salad to go along with it. The advertised menu, written on the wall, is quite extensive so I always go for one of the daily dishes. Due to it being 'out of the way ' they seem to be short of clients but do give it a go so it survives for me! Oh! finally one moan frozen chips! Why do they do this?"

"We were 3 having lunch and ate at the terrace. The environment is very good with a view for the Ria and staff is very warm and welcoming. We had fish soup (delicious), sword fish and sardines. The fish is very fresh and attractive. We experienced accordion music accompanied of an occasional singer, who was having lunch too. A very good experience to repeat."
