"I am from Seattle, USA and Was in Wayanad/Coorg for a week. My plan is to stay in top 5 star restaurants in Coorg and Wayanad to relax on my trip.on my first day arriving at kozhikode, I am unable to get accommodation in any of those 5 star and stopped by to crash for a day at Xanadu. Surprisingly, my stay at mount Xanadu was the best stay of my whole vacation. They are much better than the so called best 5 star hotels around Vythiri and Padinjarathara. I get what was described in the website.mount xanadu is not like other resorts which are overcrowded, looks like just 14 rooms and every room has awesome rooms and they are super spacious. First of all , was greeted by Abhirami at the front desk and she gave a tour of the resort. The best part is personalized phone calls for even walk or reminders for dinner/breakfast. Abhirami takes good care of the guest and she is the best.there is a infinity pool in the resort and it’s the best part , I can sit all day long starring at the views and I never got bored. Evening dinner is amazing.. this is the best food , I had beating all the five star restaurants and nobody can even come close to Xanadu excellently flavor. Typical kerala food rich with flavors. Special mention is the small onion spicy curry which is out of the world. They also have evening campfire where you can hangout and talk to other guests in the resort. next day , breakfast as continental as well as South Indian breakfast.. very rich in flavors and I am unable to eat for the whole day. Special thanks to restaurant manager Renjith and the sous chef anoop who made me the best masala omelet I ever had. he definitely has magic in his hands. General manager Thomas was very polite in hearing feedback and taking steps to improve the resort for the wellness of the guests. Overall ..even though it’s a 4 star price wise you get everything better than a five star resort.infinity pool, the amazing greenery around the resort , non stop crickets , fantastic South Indian food , play area for kids and unbeaten ambalavayal views…in future , I felt I feel like trying these kind of upcoming resorts rather than renowned resorts around this area who were reluctant to accept feedback and not investing in improving their resorts which are outdated and just have 5 star status for marketing. I spoke with aneesh , sales manager and he has great plans in taking this resort to next level and I hope his plans will come to life soon. Kudos to manager Abhirami who is the heart of this resort who takes every effort from morning 7 am till 10 pm taking care of everything in the resort running to perfection every day to provide an awesome experience for fun as well as relaxed experience at Mount XAnadu.. thanks Mount XAnadu we enjoyed our stay and we will be back here next time I visit India"
